portfolio which include grocery, clothing, telecommunication, household products etc. This
report will discuss primary research through interview and questionnaire (Potvin and et.al.,
2018). Further it will discuss findings as well.

which is free from discrimination and prejudice. Equality should be there in everything whether

equality each and everyone should have given equal chance to take the opportunities. Diversity
refers to consider differences within the people and the groups and giving positive value to the

Yes there is equality and diversity at the workplace. Equity and diversity in the work
climate means a lot of things. It is connected with regarding your employees for their age, sex,

limit from there. Employees feel that organisation is considering all factors of equality. Hiring
individuals from a wide variety of range and giving chance to everyone despite of doing

equality and promotion. For knowing awareness and effectiveness, they were asked as how many
of them believe that equality is important for their business. In this context only 3 employees
believe that up to 15% of company should employ people of different culture in their business. 7
employees said that it should be 16-25% to which Tesco should promote and employ people of
different age group, age and cultures. Majority of employees or 10 employees said that according
to them their retailer should give higher opportunities to people of different culture of employees
for employment and up to 26-50%, Tesco should promote diversity.
Theme 7: What would you recommend to your company for promoting diversity at workplace?
Interpretation: This open ended question was asked from all target or sample employees of Tesco
in order to know their views and strategies that Tesco should focus on for promoting diversity. In
this context, some employees said that their company should focus on training as by providing
training, they can make all employees aware about importance of equality. It can solve problems
of resistance by employees that their company face while promoting diversity. Some rest of
employees said that their retailer should focus on group working as it can help employees in
understanding each others’ culture and ways of performing functions. By doing so, employees
can understand different language and they are more likely to stay with business.

In this study both qualitative and quantitative research has been used in order to get more
