growth, as well as the values of various goals will be discussed in this report (Diale, Pillay and
Fritz, 2014). A Personal Development Plan's reliability, author, relevance and purpose will all be
discussed. Finally, personal development plan will be produced, that will assist in analyzing
various talents and making appropriate decisions to enhance them.
TASK ONE
1)
Professional and personal development may be viewed as an ongoing process by which
person or an organization effectively deals with problems and achieves its goals. Personal
development is defined as when a person understands what kind of growth he or she need to
make room for new chances and to seize them effectively in order to achieve a favorable
outcome in their professional development planning. Reflection is focusing on a relevant issue is
highly necessary for personal and professional growth in order to create improvements.
2)
Short term goal is one which can be attained in 3-5 months so an individual want to
accomplish in that time frame (Hashemi, 2015). This is well recognized that accomplishing
short-term objectives provides motivation and the capability to keep on going so that the long-
term objectives may be achieved just as efficiently as short-term ones. Examples of short term
goals are mention below:
ï‚· Improve interpersonal skills
ï‚· Improving communication skills
ï‚· Improving listening skills
3)
Medium-term objectives are those that a person can and wants to achive in a period of 6
to 12 months. This is critical for an individual to have medium-term goals and objectives in order
to appropriately progress toward long-term objectives. Three personal examples of medium term
goals are given below:
Document Page
ï‚· Enhancing multitasking skills
ï‚· Develop the dynamic attitude
ï‚· Completing several online courses
4)
Long-term goals are those that a person wishes to attain in foreseeable future. These
objectives are well acknowledged to be impossible to attain in a week or months’ time
(DÄ…browska-Paulewicz, Wacowska and Bokwa, 2014). This is critical for an individual to strive
in a certain path in order to reach their goals. Various examples of long term goals are mention
below:
ï‚· Creating the leadership skills
ï‚· To finish the post-graduation diploma
ï‚· Inducing the management skills
5)
Personal development plans are related to all plans that entail evaluating personal
strengths and shortcomings in order to achieve better performance in terms of professional
objective. Personal development is related to process of consciously changing one's habits and
actions in order to improve oneself. This is pursuit of the personal improvement in order to
improve one's quality of life as well as realize one's desires and goals. Personal development
behaviors may be formed by focusing on few areas including such personal talents, personal
progress and personal power.
For an example, Individuals may focus on short-term objectives and while on the way to
accomplishing them, they may assess their commitment and also the flaws and roadblocks that
may arise. After attaining these objectives, an individual focus on personal strengths while
pursuing medium-term objectives and attempting to minimize short-term objectives (Lee and
Choi, 2015). An individual may successfully master their strengths and minimize their flaws by
following this procedure that will aid them in reaching long-term goals.
