INTRODUCTION
The academic skills are required in the career path of any individual. The different
networking events, challenges and opportunities in selected career path are discussed below. The
star employability skills audit has also covered in this assignment.
ASSIGNMENT
During the term I have attended two networking events that are Career fair and
Professional conference. These events had organized in our college for our career development.
Career fair or Job fair is the best option for job seekers. They interact with various companies at
one place. The employers meet candidates either for recruitment or try to make connection with
them. Also provide information about their company with the future opportunities of
employment. The professional conference provide us ample of opportunities in our career
development. Meetings, workshops and conferences with the professional persons give us
various corporate exposure. They allow to make contacts during the course session so that
voluntary interaction can be develop. The professional people tell us about their corporate
experience. From this conference I have enhanced my knowledge and skills.
I have learnt from these two networking events are it is very important to develop
networking for the career in future. We can build our career path and move on that. I think
creating more and more contacts gives us various opportunities for choosing the right way to our
goal and objective. My networking skill is searching on internet. Through this I build contacts
and try to plan for my career. But this is not enough I have to develop more networking skills in
me. The three aspects of networking skills are; be targeted, be professional, be patient. With
these three qualities I can improve may networking skills in more appropriate manner.
I have chosen my career in Charity Fundraiser. There are different key challenges and
opportunities in this career path. The challenges may be kind of lack of influencing people to
generate fund, sound and proper estimation of fund and the demonstration of plan. These are
some of the main challenges which may become barriers. The key opportunities in Charity
Fundraiser are chances of high salary, development of awareness about the society and career
expansion growth. From these opportunities perspective I have select this career path. Whatever
I have gained from this degree programme that I will apply in planning for my career path. I
have learnt various skills such as employability, some professional and academic also. The

knowledge that I have gained from the modules which I have read during the term will help me
for my selected career.
