Analyse: It is define as the process in which a topic or situation is break down, in order to
understand the interrelationship between the various parts. The focus is to study the key
trends which are taking place.
Critically analyse: It is the process in which information or data is separated into
components so that various characteristics can be identified for in-depth justification.
Evaluate: In this, on the given topic or concept the essential information is gathered which
display strengths or weaknesses, advantages or disadvantages, alternative solutions and the
importance (Wang, 2017).
Critically evaluate: In this on the basis of present knowledge and experience a judgement is
made on different factors of given topic or situation.
Compare: It is a process in which two or more factors or aspects of the given subject is
explained in terms of similarities, differences, advantages and disadvantages.
Contrast: In this two or more concepts are compared with the motive to exhibit the
difference between them.
Compare and contrast: It is used in order to note the similarities and the differences
between two or more concepts or topics.
Describe: It is a method in which all the relevant and essential information, characteristics
and qualities are provided on subject matter (Alegret and et.al., 2018).
Discuss/explain/explore: Discuss is the process in which different aspects of the subject are
considered along with its interrelation and importance. Explain is the process in which
purpose or reason of the subject matter take place. Explore is the skills and the knowledge on
the practical implementation of topic or concept.
Justify: In this the respondent gives the reason or evidence in order to support their opinion.
