INTRODUCTION
The personal development plan is defined as PDP tool which uses by children, students, and
organization’s members for the purpose of personal and professional development. This is
important for each individual to have good skills that used to complete task in authentic way.
Personal development plan allows individual to evaluate their own abilities and feel confident to
work. This can help to bring changes in changing environment and manage work effectively
(Senel, and Bagçeci, 2019). Personal skills are gaining by people by working own self and
managing each work. The meaning of professional skills is to get specialization in particular
field and area that supports to become a profession. Academic skills are those skills which learn
by students in their initial or schooling days that could support to make right decision and
maintain higher performance. Different types of goals developed by individual that allows
people to work collectively and attaining higher performance. The current report involves
concept of personal and professional development, value of short term goals, discussion of
medium term goals, and long term goals that used to complete task.
MAIN BODY
1. Define the concept of personal and professional development.
According to (Tang, 2020), Personal and professional development is the continuous
process of engaging individual and learns to meet with challenges in order to attain goals. This is
important as emphasis on helping individuals to shape their career and develop skills. Personal
development is the concept of improving individual capabilities accessing to education and
training opportunities at the workplace that helps to perform job in better way. Professional
development is the activity of building and maintaining staff morale that attracts high quality of
staff to an organization and manage each function. It has defined that goals of individual are
specific where it became important to use their skills to accomplish their goals in certain period
of time. This involves field of knowledge and ability that possess by people to reach their goal by
working on each task. In other words, personal and professional development is the activity in
which individual participates o grow their abilities and controlling the work timely.

medium term goals that are planned to be achieved as mentioned below:
Medium term goal 1: Enhancing the career growth: Career growth is very important
to achieve a certain specific position in order to work towards better professional development.
As a medium term goal it is important to choose a specific career path that can help in inclination
of development factors (Suizzo, Tedford. and McManus, 2019). Career growth can be achieved
by working towards understand the main career aims and then setting up of small targets to
achieve such long term career goals.
Medium term goal 2: working on my individual skill development: There are some of
the specific skill sets that are required to be developed in order to perform the assigned job roles
and responsibility (Hadjar and Niedermoser, 2019). In medium term goals the individual will be
working towards enhancing the present level of skill sets that includes technical skills,
communication skills and resource management skills. All these skill are very important for the
purpose of improving the present knowledge base on context of performing the identified job

2021). Working on multiple tasks at a point of time leads towards a career transition and growth
that helps in dealing with failures.

IQ level of individual and helps to bring the changes in their thoughts. This is most important for
people to identify their abilities to work and managing task continuously. It has seen that people
are weak in some skills then it should be construct PDP plan that can help to improvise the skills
and abilities in relation to particular field and supports to accomplish goals (Goldberg, and et.al.,
2019).

removing barriers and increasing skills that can help to build confidence level and manage each
