INTRODUCTION
Academic skills are considered as capability or talent of a person which are essential in
development of knowledge of an individual . The academic skills are important in both academic
and career related life of a person. It is compulsory for a person to gain growth in academic and
career life and to perform well an individual must develop academic skills. This report is having
two different sections in the 1st part explanation of academic integrity is described along with
importance of academic integrity in higher education. In 1st part of the report various impacts of
academic misconduct are explained in a precise manner. In the 2nd section of this report there is
a reflection on steps taken while producing a game and skills which are learnt by me during a
year.
Section 1
A brief overview and explanation of academic integrity
Academic integrity-Academic integrity is defined as the professionalism in personality
and mind of different students related to academic conduct (McGill, Heikkila and Lazarowicz,
2020). It is the major responsibility of teachers as well of the students to learn academic integrity
in order to get successful in life. In many institutions management and teachers focus on
improving academic integrity of students in order to train them well for the future. Most of the
successful institutes in academic life focus on developing academic skills which are related to
conduct of students. It is the ethical responsibility of students to maintain academic integrity in
academic life in order to take advantage of education. There are several students in the
universities who mainly take support of seniors and professors to develop academic integrity. In
recent times the importance of academic integrity is rising day by day. It is recommended for the
students learn academic conduct in order to gain competency edge.
Analysis of the significance of academic integrity in higher education
In higher education academic integrity play an important role which is necessary for
overall development of the students. Most of the educational institutes in academic life focus on
development of academic skills in order to develop higher education standard. Many institutes in
academic life mainly test the academic integrity in order to check conduct of the students.
Importance of academic integrity for students, lecturers and management is discussed below:

 Students: The role of academic integrity is very much crucial for students and help
students to develop precise conduct in an institution. Academic integrity in life of a
student also play a major role by developing learning skills. In career related life of a
student academic integrity also play a significant role. There are many institutions which
makes it compulsory for students to develop academic integrity and skills for achieving
overall academic goals. The students also develop learning and communication skills
with the help of academic integrity. There are many companies which are present in
competitive world which demands for academic integrity in order to select talented
studies for professional life. Lectures: In the academic life it is important for students to follow academic integrity
while taking lectures to develop essential knowledge. In recent times there are many
institute which focus on the development of students (Dzisi, Odoom and Gligah, 2018). It
is the moral responsibility of students to take lectures seriously as it is false to develop
misconduct in academics. There are various stages in life of a person which deals with
development of students by essentially taking serious lectures. Career: This is the major advantage of academic integrity to give boost to career
opportunity to students. In other words it is compulsory for students to take academic
integrity in a precise manner to develop various career opportunity. The academic
integrity is considered as a disciplinary approach which is beneficial in development of
the students. In today's competitive world it is essential for a student to learn academic
skills as major companies demand for the same.

Importance in e
xamination: In the examination of a student it is important to follow
academic conduct for the advancement of career related opportunity. This is the main role
of teacher to teach the importance of academic integrity in examination. Most of the
times student do not follow academic integrity in classrooms as well as in examinations
which is negative for them. It is important for a student to develop academic knowledge
which is helpful in the examinations.
Explanation of implications of academic misconduct
In the academic life there is a major implication or impact of academic misconduct which
leads to demolish of various career opportunities. Many organisations in this competitive world
demand for academic integrity and skills in order to hire appropriate students for the company.

The academic misconduct is considered as a false practice which is bad for both students and
teachers. There are various academic institutes which treats students on the basis of their
academic integrity. The implications of academic misconduct are mentioned below:
 Impacts on career of students: Academic misconduct mainly impacts the career
opportunities in different students. It is a major type of harm which is created by the
academic misconduct so it is important for a student to follow academic integrity with
utmost priority (Lansdell, Marx and Mohammadali-Haji, 2020). In the life of students
career plays an important role in the development of different students. It is major
responsibility of teachers to focus on academic misconduct of the students in order to
gain competitive advantage.
 False representation in institute: In the academic life academic integrity play a crucial
role by developing image of an individual. It is important for a student to maintain a true
and great image in the institute and to perform all the tasks with fair academic conduct in
order to get various advantages.
Section 2
Reflection on the measures taken and difficulties faced while producing the game
I encountered some problems in development of plagiarism game which was given to us
as a major task. I took the guidance from my seniors and students in order to perform various
tasks and activities. We developed a game which was related to identification of plagiarism in
order to follow guidelines of the university. I faced major problem in development of game
design in order to develop the game in a precise manner. Most of the times I took guidance from
seniors and they helped me in preparation of the game design. I also faced problem in managing
time with maximum efficiency in order to develop different actions and tasks (Darma, Suratman
and Susiaty, 2020). I learnt various time management techniques in order to manage time in a
crucial manner. In managing my team I also faced several issues of leadership in order to
develop major managerial techniques. I took the advice of my seniors and learnt democratic
leadership style in order to perform major operations related to decision making. I choose
democratic leadership style in order to formulate new decisions related to the functioning of my
project. I was earlier uncomfortable in working with other people which generally put an
emphasis on my working. I was also facing problem related to decision making so I took advice

of my senior team members in order to gain competency edge. We were given a specific time for
development of the plagiarism game and in the last days we just put emphasis on development of
game in a fast manner to learn specific things (Hauck, 2019). While preparation of the game I
faced issue in learning different skills of innovation so there was a major problem in evaluation
of report. Innovation was essential part of my game and it was essential for me to develop
innovation skills for preparation of game. I consulted my team members while developing
various skills and methods that are essential for development of game. I personally realized that
it is essential for me to develop strategy in the starting of preparation of game. It prepared the
strategy with the help of my team mates and they helped me in preparation of the game. In the
development of game I personally faced different issues like development of leadership skills. I
also faced problem in coordination and communication of my team members. It is the ethical
responsibility of myself to facilitate different strategies which are useful in development of the
plagiarism game (Abdelouahab, 2020). I also faced problem while managing my team members
which created a specific problem for communication. I learnt different communication skills in
order to manage my team members and they were also satisfied. I also took advantage of my
problem solving skills which helped me development of my project which was to prepare an
important plagiarism game.
Reflection on different skills learned in academic year
I am having a keen interest in academics since my childhood and I am interested to learn
and develop different skills in order to develop competency edge. During my academic year I
learnt various skills that are important in providing career growth. In the competitive world it is
major responsibility of a student to grab knowledge by the support of different teachers and
professors (Nesbitt, Fuhs and Farran, 2019). I learnt communication skills in my academic life
which helped me in establishing relationships with different friends and colleagues. In the
development of my personality communication skills played a major role. In the academic life I
also learnt problem solving skills which helped me in solving practical problems in general life.
In improving my problem solving skills I took guidance from various students and seniors. This
helped me encouraging importance of academic integrity. I also learnt various time management
skills which played an important role in development of general routine. I can manage my time
with the preparation of good time table. I was admired by time management skills since my
childhood in order to develop effectiveness in my performance. During my academic year I also

learnt managerial skills which will help me in maintaining managerial decisions. I developed
managerial decisions in my academic life and I personally feel that this will help in building
good career opportunity in the corporate world. I also learnt different ways through which
performance can be measured of different students. It is the major responsibility of a manager to
lead the team so I learnt different leadership skills (Immekus, Muntis and de Paleville, 2019). I
can now manage a large number of people with great efficiency and I can also lead a team. In
leadership related operations I follow democratic style in order to take decisions with the help of
my friends in academic life. I also learnt learning skills which helped me to develop precise
knowledge about a subject matter (Kert, ErkoÇ and Yeni, 2020). Most of the times in general
sense I prefer learning skills in order to develop effective system of eduction. The skills which I
learnt during my academic life will also help me in development of a great personality. In today's
world it is essential for a students to develop great knowledge through learning skills which will
be helpful in overall development of personality.

CONCLUSION
From the above stated report concludes that academic integrity is important in academic
life in order to develop various skills. A person can also develop proper knowledge of academics
and subjects with the application of academic integrity. In the development of an individual
academic integrity play a major role. It is the major responsibility of a candidate to follow
guidelines and instructions given by institute to develop a precise knowledge of the subject. This
report concludes that the practice of academic misconduct should be abolished in institutes in
order to gain knowledge and discipline. This report also concludes that it is essential for a
company to develop different consequences of learning which are essential in development of
individual.
