Explain the concept of CRAAP Test & how it is used in studies.
CRAAP Test- It is a type of test which is used for accessing & making decisions about
sources whether they are reliable or not. It comprises of five elements which are Currency,
Relevance, Authority, Accuracy & Purpose. It is an important which is to be used in proper
manner. Also, it is essential to evaluate sources so that information are used in reliable manner.
(Elmwood, 2018).
Currency- It states timeliness of information & also shows when data was published, are
links functional, has information is updated or not. It is necessary to be consider as help in using of
credential properly. It is essential have currency d of information for actual implementation of
work.
Relevance- This is another component in which it reflects the use & importance of
information which has been collected. Also, it states that is information which has been is related to
topic or not. Through focusing on this element assist in using of credential in correct way.
Authority- It refers to sourced of information which has been gained. In this it comprises of
public, author, author's credentials, qualifications, etc. It is necessary to have appropriate access to
information so that it is easy to use their sources in correct way to work (Baer, 2020).
This CRAAP test is also used in studies as through using it gives true reliability of work.
Moreover, it is used in academic research & work on basis of which content is evaluated at all
aspects. So, it has been stated that to present a work in ethical way, it is advised to use CRAAP test
which increases reliability of student work. Through properly understanding of component of this

Furthermore, it has a positive impact on studies as because it help in improving own level
of developed knowledge at higher scale. Also, it includes resources such as videos, PDF'S, links,
information skills. Moreover, it is examined that it is crucial to access to wide range of information
& in which it is easier for students to collect & gather credentials in correct manner. Thus, it has
been seen that it is essential for students to access to this tab as through they will be able to access
to wider collection of sources of information. The LTU library website includes several tabs which

work & function differently.
