TASK 1
1. Define the concept of personal and professional development.
Personal development is a planning of an individual for their own development in life.
This development is considered as important to achieve some personal goals which is beneficial
for their own life (Bates and Morgan, 2018). On the other hand professional development is
related to those activities which helps to develop a good career to increase our own value and
reputation in societies mind. Both personal and professional development plans are made to
increase standard of living.
2.Describe and discuss the value of short-term goals identifying at least 3 personal examples
Short term goals are those goals which is planned to achieved within few months. This
goals are generally made to develop daily routines of an individual. This goals are helpful in
increasing total productivity of a person and helps to adopt a good habit (Baumert, Schmitt and
Perugini, 2019).
Three personal examples of short term goals are mentioned below-
1. Leave a habit of eating junk food.
2. Increase English speaking habit.
3. Wake up early in morning and exercise.

Medium term goals are those goals which is planned to reach within 1-2 years. This goals
are helpful in increase the efficiency of an individual by giving time to themselves and increase
knowledge and skills with the help of utilizing this 1-2 years (Wrzus, 2021). This goals are
achieved with proper planning.
Three personal examples of medium term goals are mentioned below-
1. Go on a adventurous trip.
2. Take care of fathers business.
3. Buy a vehicle.

Long term goals are those goals which required more than 2 years of time to achieve
something in life . This goals are helpful in building career of an individual. Long term goals are

helpful when an individual is clear about his/her life goals that what actually they want to
achieve in future (Flaherty and Taylor, 2021).
Three personal examples of long term goals are mentioned below-

2. To start my own business.
3. To buy a new house.

To find sources for a research is very helpful when the sources fulfil few criteria
explained below-
Author- The most experience and knowledgable authors books and research papers must
be opted first as their collected data is considered as most accurate and more guidance is taken
from popular authors.
Purpose- It is also called objectives (Kaur, 2018). This is the points where author
describe that why they are conducting the following research.
Reliability- It is publication date. Current sufficiency dates of publishing is considered as
good for any research paper. Updated research papers are always considered good.
Relevance- It explains whether the topic covered in research paper is useful for required
needs or not (Rose and et. al., 2020).
