Personal and professional development is the process where rte organizations or individual drive
to learn new skills to meet their end goal. This help them to work effectively and develop
managerial and leadership skills toward the organizational and personal life (Hochanadel,
Finamore, 2015). In this report, it shows the personal and professional development, evaluating
short term goals with examples, medium term goals with examples and value of long term goals
for personal and professional life. While, is also shows the personal development plan with goals
that help to achieve the main target in long term.

1 Concept of personal and professional development.
Personal and professional development is the process of improving individual and
organizational strength and weakness. Personal development improves oneself by improving the
employment skills, wealth to obtain bigger qualifications and skills. Professional development
increase the capability of employees by proving education and training opportunities which
increase the efficiency and high quality staff in organization. The training are done through
outside organization or workplace conducted by company to improve the employee skills and
performance. Both two development increase the person morale and drive towards the
improvement, better effectiveness of individual, greater understanding of work. Professional
skills are connected to counselling and teaching staff and support them to learn and development
of employees in organization (VonCulin, Tsukayama, Duckworth, 2014). Professional skills
required leadership and managerial skills which can engage with other employee and trained
them for their better performance. Personal development in the life long process where the
quality and skills are considered to achieve the aim of life by their potential. Through proper
training of employees, they strengthen their talents and come with new, innovative ideas in the
organization, increase the equality work of the staff and other aspect of business that can be
added in their skills. Whereas, they overcome the weakness which are lack of expertise their
field, poor quality of work and their overall reputation in the organization. While employee get
the opportunities of learning the new technology, work, and skills that developed themselves for
the work and gain experience from all the field. Personal development include the process of
Maslow's theory where they are five stages to fulfil their basic need to personal development.

goals people can know the feedback of set goals is positive or negative towards the achievement
of long term goals. While these goals keep the focus on target and on long term goals can be
achieved by organization( Lejeune, Beausaert, Raemdonck, 2018). While short term personal
goals helps the person to maintain the daily routine of work and other personal activity. This also
help person to increase their productivity in life which boost up them to achieve the target and
work as motivated. The short terms goals are focuses people explore new things while achieving
