INTRODUCTION
Academic skills are the aspect related to the behaviour, habits, time management and
many more tools which assist the students to learn different skills (Evans, Henderson and
Ashton-Hay, 2019). Personal development plan is the plan which help to do the activities and
their planning to aware, set the goal and improving self. This report will evaluate the role of
personal and professional development, the different type of goal are determined and effective
source are discussed.
Task1
Concept of personal and professional development
Personal development: the personal development involves the practises that enhance capabilities
and the current potential of an individual (Esquivel–Santos, 2020)(. This is the long-term process
of developing individual in its entire life and include formal as well as informal actions. When
the development need to do in others when individual can select the profession like teacher, or
they can be coach in any subject.
Professional development: This is development of educator, it provides different sets of methods
and tools which help the develop the professional skills. The resource which are provided in this
development process assist to enhance the knowledge of the individual. With the help of
improved skills and knowledge the inductor can effectively meet the needs of students. In this
type can use different approach such as reviewing past cast studies, doing consultation and more
teaching and mentoring people to gain more knowledge.
Short-term goals
The short goals are those which assist to reach till where an individual need to reach in near
future. These goals are basically to enhance some kind of knowledge of the skill in the subject
individual have to develop its career (Castañer and Oliveira, 2020). The short-term goals are:
To improve my coordination skill when working in team.
To get internship of in the field of human resource management.
To enhance performance while doing the HR supporting function.

Medium-term goals
The medium-term goals are those goals which assist to achieve the long-term as this are
helper for the long-term goal (Mansoor and Ahmad, 2020). When an individual is working for a
medium-term goal then there is a significant change in the particular time frame. The medium-
term goal are:
To work as full time job in multinational company as HR consultant .
To get experience in the field of human resource management.
To get the HR related degree from a reputed university.
Long-term goal
This goal are something that is the main objective of any individual, this goal are comparatively
needed large time and efforts (Kataoka, Morikawa and Takahashi, 2019. The long-term goals can
be:
To become the human resource head in the multinational company.
To be the expert in the field of human resources and its related subjects.
To lead the market with the HR skills and knowledge.
