INTRODUCTION
Academic Skills refers to the ways in which the students can make sure that they can use
the right methods and techniques to increase their overall efficiency and effectiveness in their
Academic Career in a proper manner (Ambler and et.al., 2020). Personal Development Plan
refers to the plan which is created by the students to make relevant improvements in the future.
In this report, a detailed discussion will be made on Producing of a detailed plan, the impact
created by Author, Purpose, Reliability and Relevance on the use of a source. Additionally, an
evaluation of the eight sources used as a part of the report plan will be made as a part of this
assignment.
MAIN BODY
Task one-
Personal Development Plan-
Personal and Professional Development- Personal and Professional Development
Planning refers to the plans which are made by a particular person which can be applied in the
future and can help in the attainment of the relevant future goals and objectives (Luo, Freeman
and Stefaniak, 2020).
Short-term goals- The use of the Short-term goals can be made so that the future
planning is carried out in a better manner (Molope and Oduaran, 2020). I will have the following
short-term goals-
I will improve communication skills which will help me a lot in ensuring that I am able to
communicate in a better manner with my classmates.
I will improve Analysis and Interpretation skills which will help me in ensuring that I am
able to analyze and interpret in a proper manner.
I will improve my teamwork skills which will help me in ensuring that I am able to work
in a better manner as a part of the team to attain the team goals and objectives.
Medium-term goals- Medium-term goals are required to be determined so that the
planning for development in the future can be made in a right way (Obdalova, Minakova
and Soboleva, 2020). I will make the use of the following medium-term goals-
I will improve my negotiation and persuasion skills which will help me a lot in ensuring
that I am able to become successful in my career.
I will be required to make sure that that I make the use of problem-solving skills which
will be required for me to ensure that I am able to solve the problems in a proper manner.
I will ensure that I make the use of leadership skills so that I can lead with example in my
organization.

Long-term goals- Long-term goals are essential to be prepared because they will shape
the career in the future in an appropriate manner (Price and Campbell, 2020). I will
ensure that I make the use of the following long-term goals-
I will improve my organization skills which will help me to manage the organization in a
better way in the future.
I will bring an improvement in my perseverance and motivation so that I can ensure that I
am able to manage the different types of tasks in quite an appropriate manner.
I will bring an improvement in my ability to work under pressure which will be quite
helpful for me to be able to handle the workload in a proper way.
Value of a Personal Development Plan- There is a particular level of value which is
created by a Personal Development Plan. This is so because by making the use of this
particular plan I will be able to bring the required improvements in myself and thus this
will help me in ensuring that the attainment of the future goals and objectives can be
carried out quite appropriately (Shamir-Inbal and Blau, 2020).
Task two-
Author, Purpose, Reliability and Relevance create an impact on the use of a particular
source because it is important to select the right references for the project which are able to
provide accurate and reliable information and thus is able to ensure that the valid information can
be used for the project quite effectively and efficiently in the future (Simon and et.al., 2020).
Only those sources should be used in a particular project or assignment which have a
high-level of reliability and thus this will be quite helpful in ensuring that the management of
work can be done in a better way quite effectively and efficiently (Tran and et.al., 2020).
