Introduction
It is important that an individual have right and accurate skill set in order to successfully and
effectively conduct business practices. Personal and professional development is one of the
important part of an individual that will help in correctly performing required set of activities
as well as attaining desired goals (Rea‐Sandin and et.al., 2021). This helps in developing
various skills and capabilities of the person through which they can enhance their
performance level and attain goals. This report includes information regarding personal and
professional development. In this value of short term, medium term and long term values
have been analysed. Apart from this value of personal development plan has been included in
this report.
Personal and professional development
Personal and professional development plan can be describe as the process which is
consider by an individual to successfully and effectively conduct activities. It is essential for
an individual to develop a proper personal and professional development plan that will lead to
enhance required skills set and experiences of the person. It has been identified that personal
and professional development is very important as it will lead to have significant impact on
the capabilities and potential of a person to conduct practices. Through this a person will be
able to successfully attain personal as well as professional goals. Professional growth can be
explain as the practice of gaining and developing new skills that will help in development of
current role or the role needs to be accomplished. It has been analysed that personal
development is also crucial for an individual so that they can learn about taking more
responsibility, succeed with the greater challenges (Gill and et.al., 2021). There are different
activities and task that needs to be performed by an individual for overall personal and
professional development. This is consider as very important part for an individual who
wants to grow as well as reach full potentials. It has been determined that personal and
professional development is an ongoing process in which different goals and practices are
includes. Personal and professional development is consider to be significant in order to
become more fulfilled, happier as well as higher quality. The main motive of personal and
professional development is continuously learning and developing new skills or knowledge
that will directly assist in career goals as well as meeting with different needs of an

determined. Through short term goals individual will be able to determine how long they
have travelled with the motive of reaching ultimate destination. It is essential that individual
have right and accurate short term goals with the motive of successfully attaining long term
goals (Tran and et.al., 2021). This can be describe as the breaking of long term goals into
smaller parts. Short term goals are effective for providing proper track of the progress of an
individual towards goals and determining where they stand. This is refer as the connection
between where individual is as well as where they want to be in future. It is crucial that an
individual is developing specific, measurable goals which they want to be accomplish in
future.

Medium term goals can be describe as the best for the both short term goals and long term

then long term goals. Medium term goals are consider to be longer enough to make
significant progress while short enough that long term goals are accomplished by an
individual (Träff and Östergren, 2021). There are different benefits and advantages
accomplished by setting and accomplishing medium term goals. This type of goals are form 3
years to 5 years of time duration. It is essential that proper setting of expectation is set
