INTRODUCTION
Academic skills are explained as talent and habits that possess by an individual for
developing their skills and abilities to work. This involves learning, report writing, research and
presentation which are used to managing the all functions. This report considers short term,
medium and long term goals.
1 Personal and professional development.
Personal and personal development is the process in which individual engages in each
functions and activities that develop the organizational productivity. For people it is important to
have proper skills and talent which can be used to complete the particular project and manage it

organization by completing the task efficiently.
2. Value of short-term goals
This means short term goals which are designed by an individual and set less than 1 year
which emphasize to attain them in certain period of time. This shows goal which wanted by
people in their near future. This goal helps to manage the time and accomplish timely. For
example, to starting a small café, barber shop and general store. In other words, short term goals
are decided by management or individual while operating their business which can help to bring
the change if needed. These goals are time saving and cost saving which supports to operate a
function and attaining them in certain period of time.
3. Value of medium-term goals
This refers as Medium-term objectives are those that are reached only after a series of
short-term objectives have been met, and which combine to form a long-term objective. When
individual have decided the goals then needs to achieve in more than 1 year but less than 3 years
which can help to develop the business productivity. For example, the medium term goals are
decided while studying is to build a house, formulating the strategic plan and implement then at
the workplace, managing the work in organization that can help to develop the organizational
performance. When people have decided the medium term goals then the next phase on which
they focuses is implementation that states how each task and functions is going to be complete.
The individual or group of people have enough time to make progress and creating the
organizational values by offering range of sources and activities that needs to be done timely.

4. Describe and discuss the value of long-term goals identifying at least 3 personal examples
This means goals which are demanded to be complete in their future. When individual has
decided the goals then it needs to think critically as it is long term plans that take time and higher
cost to be completes. This is important for each individual to understand the requirement of
market and themselves then make efforts to accomplish them properly. The long term plans are
extended to more than 5 years in which people can complete the task and get the good
opportunity to develop themselves. In other words, long term goals are usually run for several or
many years and performing by people as they different skills such as communication,
Collaboration decision making, critical thinking and others which can help to managing all
activities. For example to get a dream job after completing education, to start own businesses,
and family planning that all takes much time to accomplishing them.
5. Personal Development Plan and construct.
Personal development plan is the process of designing action plan on the basis of goal
setting, values, reflection, and planning which is used to develop the individual’s career. This is
important for individual to have proper knowledge and skills which can be used to attain them
properly and develop the productivity. This plan is valuable as it influence the number of people
and make efforts to accomplish them. If there is lack of knowledge then it might challenging for
people to accomplish and complete the functions. As in above section short, medium and long
term goals are decided, so a PDP plan is prepared below:
