Task One:
Definition of the concept of personal and professional development
Personal development refer to a set of various activities which is utilized by
individual for enhancing their potentiality, capability and also for developing skills. All these
elements are helped to increase the smartness of single person for doing the work
(Anandhalli, 2018). It is also refers to self improvement and due to this education and career
of individual are increased at high rate. Professional development is also another type of
learning process but little bit difference is that in this stage individual learn all new things in
professional manner. In this method individual do their job and analyze the information in
professional way.
Description and discussion of the value of short term goals
identifying at least 3 personal examples
A short term goal refer to achievements which is gained by individual, firm and any
institute for short duration. In short term goals the changes are made in big manner
effectively for short duration (Byram and Wagner, 2018). With help of short term goals the
task and the work are also accomplished in low time. The examples of short term goals in
personal development are Time management, Effective reading habit and Good
communication skills.

A medium term goal refer to those success which is achieved by firm, individual and
any institute medium duration. It is also considered as the next step of short term goals. The
examples of this type of goals are Decision making, Problem solving and Creativity.

A long term refer to those achievements which is gained by any institute, firm and
individual for long duration. In long term goals changes are made effectively for long

long term goals are Maintaining commitment, Fair and transparent treatment and Use of rules

Personal development plan is a process which is helpful for creating effective action
plan in effective manner (Lawrence, 2020). In this process the action plan will be prepared on
the basis of values, awareness, planning, goal setting and reflection. All these elements are
very essential for develop the education, career and relationship of every individual person or
students. With help of this process individual easily identify their own strength and weakness
in any type of work. The main motive for preparing this plan is to reducing the problems of
students or other categories of peoples which was faced by them in organization or institute
on monthly and daily basis.
