INTRODUCTION
Personality improvement is a manner to identify ones core skills and weaknesses to
improve them (Whittaker,2012). As personality is reflection of an individual with a perfection
but there are some qualities which are not acquired by them but they wanted to improvement for
their betterment. The improvement gives them a bright future and a assurance to attain a job and
confidence. These amendments fulfils their future aspirations and this report going to covered all
the personality development aspects along with note taking techniques, research and analysis
tools which are required establish an academic research and techniques.
TASK 1
Strength and weakness are two points which is found in every individual person as well it
needs regular brushing up on time basis properly. Removing weakness and development in
strength is important so that an individual can get ready for professional jobs and develop own
self for professional help in present and future growth. Their is some goals and objectives of life
for everyone which need to be achieved for better present and future. Thus, for accomplishing
pre determined objectives there is need of setting small targets and proper planning which is
focusing on career. Personal development is only possible when proper information is gathered
about the particular area in which development is required. Then after collecting information it
should be examine properly so their will be positive outcomes. My Strength and weakness is
described below:-

single thing because of this I am not able to

weakness. For identifying several things there
is requirement of proper research as well in the
field of marketing same play important role.
SMART objectives:- It is that which help individual in setting their objectives. This is
also important for setting goals and objectives related to life for better future and professional
career (DiGirolamo and et. al.,2012). There are mainly three steps for converting objectives into
SMART such as: Identify your priorities, make sure that objectives are SMART, last step require
surety of good fit and are assigned to right people. Below mention are my smart objectives-
 I want to increase my research skills for this I will ready current news related to market
trends and do research on these for identifying several things about market. These things
will help me in increasing my research skills.
 As already mention above that I am marketing field student so there is need of proper
convincing power so that I can attract customers and increase sales. For improving this
there is requirement of politeness in tone of talking.
 I have to increasing my focus power so that I can do work with more attention and in
proper manner. This will results in better future and in development also.
TASK 2
Note taking is the practice of capturing or recording information from another sources.
Here, source can be lectures, meeting, seminar, presentation and several other (Adedokun And
et. al., 2013). These can be used in future for recalling any information or data because it
includes key points of entire discussion and important part of research. Apart from this notes
taking includes cognitive behaviour such as engaging brain in particular thing as well helpful
way which assist in grasp and retain information. Making notes help in learning things in more

broader sense. There are various methods of note taking such as mind map, Cornell method,
charting, outline and sentence method.
Along with all such, every person have their own skills which help them in achieving pre
determined goals and objectives. In this competitive environment there is requirement of
listening skills so that an individual can become successful and professional by grasping several
information. Although, this thing can be learned with the word listen, moreover form of these
word such as:

skills is required more at the time of meeting, seminars and presentation because when these are

 Outline Method – This method is mainly used while doing research because in this
individual only do outlines.
 Cornell Method – In this method paper is utilise for making note which is divide in three
parts by the note maker. Left side space is utilised for writing main topics, right side is
for making notes and in the last left space is remaining which includes summary of entire
topic.
Above mention methods are used by person for making notes when activity going on is
totally related to the listening. Mainly it is needed at the time of group discussion, meetings,
presentations, seminars and lectures. Along with this reading skills also play vital role in notes
taking in this formation of notes are done through books, articles, blogs, reading journals and so

TASK 3
Research is the detail study which is done on particular topic or problem related to
anything. For conducting the same scientific methods is utilised by researcher. In simple words it
can be said that this is the systematic inquiry to explain, describe, control and predict the
determined phenomenon. It includes inductive and deductive methods where, inductive is used
for examining observed phenomena. On the other hand, deductive is utilise for verifying the
same. There are some methods of research description of these are given below:-
 Primary method – This is the first hand or fresh data which is collected by the person
who is conducting research. Basically it can be said that primary data is the fresh which
never has been published before. Along with this there are several methods of data
collection in this such as questionnaire, reviews, feedback forms and many other. Apart
from this, such type of research is time consuming and expensive.
 Secondary method – This is the data which was already publishes or used as well it can
be past data of organisation (Allen, 2013). There are various methods of collecting
primary data such as books, newspaper, journals, blogs, articles and so on. Moreover,
these type of research are not expensive and time consuming for company.
Before conducting research there is requirement of proper planning so that work can be done in
more appropriate manner. Thus, it will help individual in gathering more and more information
which assist them for standing in competitive market and also in successful future. Along with
this it help in decision making and strategies as well there are some important elements which
