INTRODUCTION
An individual must possess personal as well as professional skills for managing business
activities effectively. There are different skills which are needed by an individual for managing
the successful projects and activities. The present report includes the summary for portfolio
management of a student and analysis for various type of skills needed by an individual. The
following report provides information about the way in which students are able to manage the
work effectively. This is essential for student to analyse and evaluate the working properly.
Summary
Portfolio is known as the authentic assessment of the candidates. It is defined as the
collection of the completed work. Portfolio is helpful in providing information about the
capabilities of an individual. It tells about the abilities of individual while doing any activity or
task. Portfolio is developed by the students to analyse their learning ability. Portfolio is defined
as the representation of University as well as students who have done various researches and
projects in their academic tenure.
Rationale for choosing portfolio - it is important for the student to analyse the the
innovation as well as new ideas which will help in in doing daily activities in a different manner.
This is very important for development skills within the student it and it helps in managing the
functioning of various researches.
How skills help in academic life - there were very hard times when I was not having
enough capabilities for doing the work in proper manner. I have learnt various skills and abilities
while I was in the university. I have experienced various conditions and situations for managing
the the work and effectively using the opportunities given to me in the academic tenure. These
experiences provided me help while doing my work properly and enhancing my abilities.it is
very important to develop professional skills as this will help me in in my future career. There
are different skills required by me to manage my personal as well as professional life such as
communication skills, presentation skills, academic writing, academic reading, choosing the
research topic, analytical skills, etc. By using the communication skills in proper manner, I am
able to do to all my work effectively e and meeting the needs and demands of University
grading. I have experienced that having a good body gesture and using good body language
while communicating with other team members and colleagues is very helpful for me e as this

will help in seeking their attention while working. Choosing a right topic for research is also very
important for me as on the basis of this, I will be e evaluated by my tutor. When the research
topic is trending topic related to technology and innovation, this will help in grabbing attention
of the the audience as well as the teacher which will help me to get good grades. I have ensured
that it is very important for me to use appropriate gesture and have a moderate pitch volume
while communicating with my team members. Success is the most important aspect in the
academic as well as professional life. The most important thing is to to analyse the aims and
objectives for reaching good heights in successful life. I have conducted various researches and
projects in my academic tenure and these are done in proper manner so that I will be able to you
manage my skills and abilities and use them wisely for achieving success in my work. there are
different skills and abilities required by me to do my work in proper manner. Academic writing
and reading have helped me to to analyse the the factors which are required for managing the
elements required for completing the projects in effective manner. When I have affective skills
and abilities that will be help in doing great work. It is very important for me to develop and
grow my skills for managing the work properly and using the opportunities in in doing my work
properly.
There are number of skills which I have used while learning in the university. These
skills are acquired by me while attending sessions. Academic skills helps students to grab
opportunities and develop professional growth. There were some academic skills that helped me
in doing good work. Some of the skills are mentioned below –
Academic writing
It is very important for me to understand the importance of academic writing. There are
different ways of academic writing like it is used while making projects, assignments or other
articles. These are essential for managing the completion of work effectively by using all the
writing skills. Proper management of writing is important as it will help me in doing great work
and getting good results. Academic writing helps me in managing my work in proper manner by
analysing all the elements needed for producing effective articles and written work. The
academic writing is important for managing the projects and assignments effectively. It is
important for the company to manage the submission of projects and assignments properly.

Plagiarism
This is an academic misconduct which must not be done by me while doing the projects and
assignments in university. Plagiarism means copying of work from another person. This should
be avoided by every student and he or she must work hard for writing on it’s own. This will help
in building capabilities to work effectively and using the resources properly. I have never
thought of copying from other assignment and doing my work. My teachers have told me not to
do work in this manner as this affects grading too. I have been doing all my project work on my
own by taking help from different books and articles. It is important for me to manage my work
properly and do not use work of others for managing the work in proper manner. It is very
essential for me to manage the work effectively and do my work by following all ethics.

Academic reading
I have learnt that an effective reading skill is very important s it helps in managing my personal
as well as professional work properly. The academic reading is essential for conducting various
phenomenal advanced technology globalization , increasing cultural diversity , and adoption of
team-based structures in work places. It is concluded in the lectures that professionals are
spending time for receiving information on the communication activities. It is very essential for
me to manage my reading skills and focus on doing the assignments and projects effectively.
This is very important as it will help to manage the work properly and get good grades. The
academic reading means managing the way in which articles and journals are used for doing the
work properly.

Choosing a research topic
I have learnt in the sessions that there are basically two factors which have to be focused
upon while doing the research in proper manner. The first step includes selecting a topic of broad
interest. Second thing is narrowing the chosen topic into an effective research topic when more
knowledge is increased about the topic. There are some other factors too which h have to
considered while choosing the topic for research. These include Who, What, When, Where

and Why. Main thing which has to be focused upon while doing the research is to choose the
best topic which will enhance my knowledge.

Data collection method
In this lecture, I was taught about different type of data collection methods used for managing
the work. The method of data collection is known as process for gathering and collecting data
which can be used for processing this information and making interpretations from the work. The
different type of qualitative data is collected through Surveys and questionnaires, Systematic
observations, Record reviews, Longitudinal studies, Case studies. On the other hand, the
qualitative data is collected through Experiments, Participant Observation, Open-ended
interviews, Reflexive diaries, Focus groups, Hermeneutics (interpretation of texts) and
Photographs, drawings, collections.

Self development and responsibility
This lecture helped in increasing knowledge about various topics like success, CV, transferrable
skills, etc. This helped in knowing what is to be presented to the tutors for managing the work
properly and being responsible. Success is one of the best way for managing academic work.
There are various factors which can explain success. These include Accomplishment of an aim
or purpose. This can be achievement of a vision and planned goal. Aim is defined as a result that
your plans or actions are intended to achieve. The purpose for doing anything means that why
something exists. Vision is an idea or mental image of something. It is essential to do all my
assignments and projects in proper manner. I have to do my work in proper manner for managing
the projects and assignments effectively.

In this lecture, I understood that researches are conducted by me for getting grades. I have
analysed that research basically have different factors. These include research aim, research
objective and questions. Another aspect of research is rationale and background of research.
These are managed properly for doing great researches. I have been working effectively for

conducting the research activities properly and getting aims of the research. The conduction of
research is important for managing the way in which work is done effectively. It is very

Preparing for success
When I read about this module, I have learnt the ways of preparing success. There is
explanation about creativity and knowledge gaining within course. It is concluded from this
module that it is manageable for the individuals in order to achieve success. In the context of this
modeule, it is understood that there are different skills for attaining success. After learning this
module, it is concluded that grabbing knowledge about any topic for managing the work is
helpful for the successful progression. For me , it is important to manage the work and get good
marks in academics.

CONCLUSION
This is concluded from the above report that it is essential to have effective skills so that
