INTRODUCTION
Academic integrity is defined as a commitment and demonstration of honest behaviour
during academic course of time. It helps individual to acknowledge contribution of other
individuals. Academic integrity play essential role in learning and teaching at University and
Higher Education level (Ali and Alhassan, 2021). Present report has been conducted on the
concept of academic integrity along with its importance in higher education. This report also
involves implication of academic misconduct and difficulties that has been encountered in
developing the game for project 2.

An Introduction including a description of Academic Integrity
Academic integrity is defined as a commitment to demonstrate moral and own behaviour in
academic area. It is essential for students to provide credit to other individual work when they
are taking ideas from them. In addition to this it has been identified that academic integrity is
fundamental to research learning and teaching at university level, as the help of this students as
well as staff can have access of freedom in order to effectively build knowledge, areas and
creative work while duly acknowledging as well as affecting other works (Lomness and et. al.,
2021). Furthermore it has been underline that academic integrity has five fundamental values that
are responsibility, trust, respect, kindness and courage through which students can effectively
conduct their learning in an effective manner. It has been identified that there are mainly three
common example of academic integrity which include representative of original ideas as own,
copying whole passage from book, journal articles and other form of resources without citing
original author and purchasing or submitting term paper online (Chugh and et. al., 2021). It is
essential for student to honestly conduct their learning with the help of academic integrity.
Proper understanding this help them to strength their personal as well as professional skills in a
well-defined and effective manner. In addition to this it has been underlined that academic
integrity plays basic role at learning level in university as with the help of this students can
enable themselves to exchange ideas and further develop knowledge with the help of individual

scholars. It is essential for students to avoid any form of academic dishonesty behaviour such as
falsification, plagiarism and fabrications (Goldberg, 2021). According to the above-mentioned
analysis it is identified that integrity is defined as a quality of being honest as well as have strong
moral principles. Academic integrity plays essential role in a student life that allows them to
undertake their learning with honesty, respect and trust.
A discussion of the importance of academic integrity in higher education
Academic integrity plays important role in higher education as it allows students to assure
success with the help of honest attitude. In addition to this it has been identified that academic
integrity also facilitates students to avoid that consequences such as failing in assignment due to
unethical behaviour which also affects their student life. Students invest their time as well as
efforts in order to get a degree (Eaton, 2021). Thus practice of any form of unethical practices
can affect academic integrity and can act as barrier for students that can restrict them to have
success in chosen field or career. Academic integrity also plays essential role for higher
education as it is the foundation of their professional practice and knowledge. With the help of
having proper knowledge of academic integrity students can have consistency and trust in their
graduate degree. It is essential for higher education institutes to effectively emphasize upon issue
of academic misconduct; they are required to provide proper knowledge of academic misconduct
bad impact upon student’s degree and personal as well as professional growth. In addition to this
it has been evaluated that academic integrity play fundamental role in teaching and learning at
higher education level (Miller, 2021). With the help of this students can effectively undertake
ethical responsibilities to develop their academic skills. Furthermore, it has been underlined that
academic integrity also play important role that facilitates students to effectively develop and
create new knowledge and ideas while providing respect to other works. With the help of taking
advantage of ethical practices in learning students can assure that proper academic integrity is
maintained in their academic career. Academic integrity not only facilitates students to protect
their reputation but also enhance their professional growth opportunities in a well defined and
effective manner. Thus according to the above mentioned in analysis it has been identified that
academic integrity is having significant importance in higher education level, as it not only allow
students to gain opportunity to learn improve and develop their skills in an effective manner but
also allow them to enhance their future professional and personal growth opportunities. It is

students to conduct their responsibility in effective manner but also facilitate them to have fair,

Discuss the implications of academic misconduct
Academic integrity is essential aspect at higher education level, it strengths learning process of
students. However it has been determined that academic dis-honesty have negative impact upon
student career. It has been determined that cheating in academic effects teacher’s students and
education system (Abbott and Nininger, 2021). There are number of causes of academic
dishonesty that are self justification habits, performance anxiety, unfamiliarity with the concept
of academic dishonesty and lack of understanding related to the consequences. In addition to
this, it has been underlined that academic dishonesty has direct impact upon loss of future
projects for students. Along with lots of opportunities it not only affects students learning
process but have also negative impact upon their professional career (Curtis and et. al., 2021).
Honesty can be conducted in number of ways such as taking notes during a closed book
examination, copying from other students work during examination and more evaluated. It has
been identified that students who are engage in cheating and any form of academic dis-honesty
have negative influence on their future opportunities as these practices lead them towards life of
dishonesty that cannot only affect their learning process but also have negative influence upon
their graduate knowledge as well as ability (Eby and et. al., 2021). Furthermore it has been
underlined that academic dishonesty or misconduct not only affects students but also create
problems for teacher and have bad impact upon educational reputation.

Reflect on the steps you have taken, and difficulties encountered in producing the game for
Project 2.
It has been identified by me that I have faced certain difficulties in producing game for
project 2. In order to develop the game it is essential for me to have clear goals as well as ideas
in order to develop a game on academic integrity impact. Furthermore, in order to develop game
I have to acquire adequate and effective understanding of the academic integrity concept along
with its advantages on student career. However it has been underlined by me that I encountered
with certain difficulties in having inadequate skills and understanding of the concept of academic
integrity. This has been overcome by me with the help of taking use of online materials and
books to properly understand this concept. Along with this I also faced difficulties to conduct
activities on time effective manner. This challenge affected me in adverse manner. However it
has been overcome by me during the course of producing game in which I set realistic deadlines
to accomplish the process. Along with this is due to lack of critical thinking skill I undertaken
bad decisions that lead towards repeated mistakes. Lack of critical thinking lead me towards
undertaking inaccurate assumptions. However this skill has been developed by me with the help
of training program through which game has been produced in an effective manner.

In order to produce the game there were number of skills that have been learnt by me
during this academic year. It has been determined by me that during the process of producing
game that I have ineffective time management and critical thinking skills. Ineffectiveness in
these skills affected me to produce game in effective way. However I have developed these skills
during the course of producing game with the help of various measures. It has been identified by
me that critical thinking skills helps in better understanding through which effective decisions
can be undertaken. Critical thinking skill also helps me to have motivation and confidence to
accomplish goals and objectives in effective manner. Furthermore, it has been determined that

critical thinking plays most important role in personal as well as professional context, as allows
individual to think outside the box. With the help of critical thinking skills students can have
ability to access their strength weaknesses and further undertake effective learning style. This
skill play most important role for students through which they can analyse information and can
undertake good as well as effective judgements. The skill has been duly developed by me that
allowed me to have proper evaluation of knowledge, data facts as to solve problems. With the
help of the skills I have developed the game in effective manner while expressing problems and
finding appropriate solution. In addition to this time management skills has also been developed
by me that allowed me to make sure that I do not waste my time and get distracted on other
activities which is unnecessary. With the learning of this skill during this academic year I can
make better arrangement of my time and can prioritise my work to accomplish aims and
objectives. Time management skill enhances personal as well as professional ability to undertake
new growth opportunity. It is essential for a student to have the skill as it allows them to
undertake property schedule of activities and have a balance life. Time management plays
essential role in higher education as it enables students to learn more in a faster manner. Thus
according to the analysis of these skills that has been learnt by me during this year in producing
game, it has been determined by me that these skills allow me to take advantage of more growth
and development opportunities in future.

According to the above mentioned report it has been concluded that academic integrity plays
essential role in higher education with the help of which student can undertake the learning
process or activities with honesty and integrity. It is essential for institutions to make sure that
there are no unethical practices and students are effectively aware about concept of academic
integrity, as it allows them to have more professional growth opportunities in future.
