INTRODUCTION
Further academic skills are known as the varied skills that are developed or inculcated in
students from being a part of different functions or sessions that are being done in a university.
These skills lead to the growth and development of students by making them more effective and
efficient for their future career (Anderson, Weimer and Fuhs, 2020). The following report is being
divided into two different sections, in which the first section is covering the description that is
related or relevant to academic integrity as well as its importance that is there in higher education
along with the academic misconduct and implications. Second section on the other hand covers
and describes all the difficulties that are being faced by an individual during learning skills.
Section 1
An Introduction including a description of Academic Integrity
Academic integrity is known as teaching, learning and research fundamentals that are
being performed by universities faculties. This includes all the varied communities of
universities that is students, researchers and teachers that are to be followed the acts of honesty,
trust, fairness, respect, and responsibility and duties in effective and efficient manner. It is
necessary that students studying higher education should hold the academic integrity along with
their studies (Culver, Braxton and Pascarella, 2019). Working in effective manner is resulted with the
proper use of information and that too in appropriate manner with accordance to privacy and
copyright law. It is important for the students to know and acknowledge from where all the
information is used and all during completion of their projects.
A discussion of the importance of academic integrity in higher education
Academic integrity is necessary as it develops and makes effective and honest, all the
students and people that are relevant to higher education and their performance in effective
manner. It lets teachers and professors to teach important skills in higher education, these skills

include writing, critical thinking skills and using sources with the contents in efficient way
(Ericsson and Oliver, 2019). Its importance is explained as:
 It helps in protection of students from the varied misconduction of academics that is
cheating, plagiarism and many other dishonesties that are there present in academics for
making their own creditability along with assisting them in achieving success in career.
 Observation is done by the university related to code of academic honesty for maximising
the learning opportunities for students for getting and achieving success in good method.
 Learning of various career skills is done by students that are great and have their
importance in their future success. These skills and knowledge help in future
performance of students and also in achieving their goals in effective manner.
 Academic integrity has its importance as it creates trust and feeling of belongings in peers
and professors and resulting in studying and learning easy for them.
 Satisfaction is also provided to the university’s top management for knowing various
ethical principles and policies and their following by students and all in effective manner.
 It also helps in taking and possessing full credit of all work that is being done by the
students.
 Self-reliance habits are being formed in students for learning and conducting of
assignments and all their projects in effective methods by creating these habits that will
result in their success in future.
 It avoids various serious outcomes and results of academic dishonesty that are present in
university by making students to conduct their working operations with complete honesty
and fairness.
Discuss the implications of academic misconduct
Academic misconduct is known as that kind of cheating that is done in the session of
academics, when particular students take credit during their assignments and projects (Fair and
Kondo, 2020). There are many types and kinds of academic misconduct that are being faced by the
universities during the effective learning of their students. Some of the various academic
misconducts and their implications in the student’s life in universities are discussed below:

Plagiarism- It is misconduct that is most common and is always increasing within
higher education with many issues and problems. It is called when student steals or copies the
work of someone else as well as then claiming that work to be their own original by
downloading that work from the internet or from someone else. Effective methods of sources are
used by the universities for analysing their work by taking effective actions for conducting and
checking students’ work that are being pasted or copied from someone else without proper
citations.
Fabrication- It can be described as invention, suppression and distortion, the very three
steps of academic misconduct. In invention, the students make up the facts, data or sources of
their work (Suntheimer and Wolf, 2020). Suppression includes the omission of relevant facts and
distortion on the other hand includes the misrepresentation of facts in the assignments by
students in effective manner.
Collusion- It is another plagiarism form that includes unattributed and unauthorized
working collaboration that are made in between the students. It also causes the misconducting of
academics by students in the university during their higher education learning.
Cheating- When the students use some forbidden or prohibited items in their tests and
these items are cell phones, books, notes, calculators, and also other students work and many
other items. It involves students to obtain the test questions or answers that are leaked or are
cheated before a test, it also involves hiring of some other students for the assignments or exams
of a student. Cheating also involves when a student uses or misrepresents the identity of oneself
or other student during their exams or while submitting assignments.
Thus, conducting or using one of the misconducting behaviour or all of them in the
university results in reduction of credibility of the students in higher education (Umansky and
Dumont, 2021). It affects and also impacts their career along with many issues that are being faced
to get success in the career of academics. This results in reduction of the efficiency of students
and in their performance of their work.

Reflect on the steps you have taken, and difficulties encountered in producing the game for
Assignment 2
Game-based learning is method that is used for making students efficient and effective
for their successful future. It helps students in learning and acquiring knowledge about skills and
various concepts in effective method. The various challenges that I have faced during the
designing of the game are described as follows:
Balancing the fun factor with educational value- I have faced this challenge during
designing game that I had to harmonize all the fun along with the educational and ethical values
that are connected in this particular game (Weideman, 2021). By establishing all the learning
objectives have helped me in balancing all things during the designing of the game in effective
manner.
Creating the right game environment- I have faced many problems for creation of
effective and right environment that are involved in game for making participants to enjoy and
play the game. Different and many levels are made in this game for making them and flowing
them easily to reach from one level to other level.
Collecting data- other difficulty that I have faced is gathering the real time data for the
game to be more effective and also for encouraging the students to be a part of this game. This
will result in the reduction of misconduction of academics and also for supporting the academic
integrity.
Circumventing high costs- This is yet another challenge that I have faced in designing
of game as it involves making the costs to be effective for me. This was used for making the use
of effective sources that are of reasonable price that can be used for making and designing the
game easier.
Reflect on the skills you have learned this academic year and those emphasized in producing
your game
I have learnt many varied skills and abilities that have helped in development of game
that has resulted in making my career effective and also have helped me in gaining great output
in my sessions of academics (Zárate, 2020). For adapting challenges and to respond effectively to
these challenges, skills have been developed in me during my academic session and these skills
are explained as follows:

Collaboration- Creation of game needs team work as it is not a single person work and
this team need to work effectively with collaboration to each other as this affects and impacts
whole team and project. This will result in effective collaboration with other team members to
work effectively on proper time.
Time management- timely completion of work is important and I have prioritized timely
deadlines to complete designing of game in effective manner. This has helped me in the easy
sharing of entire tasks that are related to it in quick manner. This has developed time
management skills and it has also led to completion of work on time.
Critical thinking- For designing a game, many things were planned by me along with
the development of many strategies to find different levels and also helped in building obstacles
in the game. Analysis of information along with their solutions in game are also helped by
critical thinking and these are improved in effective manner.
Creativity- active imaginations and creative mind-set are always needed for game
designing. That have helped me in developing for the participants to keep them interested in
game. This has also developed my creativity thinking skills in conducting my work in creative
manner.
Effective communication- This is yet another important skill that is needed in my career
as well as also in the designing of game that have helped me and has also improved my skills
(Zhang and Xuan, 2019). After designing I can easily present myself in front of large audience and
this has helped me in learning interaction with a large crowd in efficient way. This makes
communication and interaction with other person easy and also helped in influencing them.
Adaptability- I have handled various challenges while designing game that have made
me effective and efficient with responding the various challenges. This has helped me in
developing various adaptability skills that have led me to adapt future challenges.

CONCLUSION
It can be concluded from the above mentioned report, that further academic skills play an
important role in the future career of students in effective method. Academic integrity helps the
students and teachers in creation of various new ideas and knowledge an also in the performing
of their work in a very creative way. Aiding, plagiarism, cheating, fabrication, and dishonesty are
a part of academic misconduct that are present in the students of universities. For stopping this
academic misconduct in universities, it is important to take effective actions by the universities.
Balance of fun factor along with educational value, creation of the right kind of environment for
game, collecting data are also discussed in this report along with desired learning outcomes and
various challenges that are faced by an individual during the designing of game in effective
manner are also explained within this report. Collaboration, critical thinking, time management,
effective communication, creativity, and adaptability are some of the various skills that are
developed in an individual during designing of a game in students’ life in their academic session.
