Reflection
Academic skills are important skills to becoming a more effective learner at the university level,
and it helps to improve the work or assignments of the university. This academic skill is
increasing the learning abilities to achieve their future goals and it is essential for university
students for providing quality work in their university assignment. This academic skill
encourages the university students for critically thinking, and it helps to increase the confidence
levels in the students to participate in the different activities in the university. This academic skill
helps the university students to easily achieve their goals and success in the career (Demir et, at.
2017).
It is essentially to university students to develop their effective skills for achieving their goals are
the following:
Academic discourse: - This academic skill provides an effective presentation to increase their
skills. University teacher helps to increase the active listening task which provides a piece of
deep knowledge about the presentation and able to a deep thinker. After the presentation has
finished the teacher put up the difficult question for understanding the point of presentations.
Teacher motivates their students for developing their ideas for effective uses in career.
Academic text strategies: - This academic text strategy provides short videos and pictures for
developing the academic skills of each and every student of the university. It helps to understand
the meaning of images and videos for critically thinking and practices for understanding the
deeper thinking. It is encouraging to the students to think about their career and achieve their
goals.
Academic strategies with effective notes: - This academic strategy is essential to each and
every university students for effective learning which helps to create an own presentation
through effective notes. This effective note helps to divide the information and able to
understand it easily. The effective notes help in developing the confidence level of students who
easily interact with others.

Smart Goals: - It is essential to understanding the Smart goals of each and every student to
improve their academic skills for achieves their desired goals in a career. Smart goals provide
effective ways and direction to achieve their goals for university students. It helps in analyzing
the abilities of students and provides satisfactory results. The Smart Goals are stands for specific,
measurable, acceptable, and realistic and time-bound (Benevolo et, al. 2016).
 Specific: - This specific goal provides the ability to university students for more focus on
their goals and objectives. It helps to observe the situation and describe the goals. It helps
the students in understanding the goals and helps to focus on their career.
 Measurable: - This measurable goal helps the students in determining their systems,
methods and procedure to easily achieve their targets. It helps in the measure the starting
situation of students, and after approaching the academic skills, it measures the finishing
points of goals.
 Acceptable: - This acceptable goal increasing the involvement of university students
towards their goals and accepts the situation and decision towards their targets.
 Realistic: - This realistic goal of developing their academic skills for focus on the present
situations and motivating the students to achieve their targets.
 Time-bound: - This time bound skills provide the particular time to be the focus on their
student’s targets and provide the time to achieve the goals and objectives in the student's
career.
