The report will discuss the challenges faced while learning the academic skills, the academic
skills learned as well as the application of academic skills in future.
MAIN BODY
Challenges faced while learning academic skills-
There are various challenges which are faced while learning the academic skills are such
as the having very poor learning skills, time management issues and problems, the learning
differences, test anxiety, academic transitions, understanding the content, lack of the motivation
as well as the requirements of the basic skills (Evans, Henderson and Ashton-Hay, 2019). These
challenges are hindering in the learning process and through this, the individual is not abler to
learn the things quickly and effectively. It is very important for the students to overcome these
challenges which are faced while learning as this enables them to learn the things in detailed
manner.
The academic skills which are learned-
The academic skills are basically the abilities, habits as well as the strategies of the
individual which enables them to get success within the complete academic setting. Some of the
academic skills which has been learned are as follows:
Reflective writing
Report writing
Problem solving skills
Presentation skills
Research skills
Communication skills
Time management skills
Creative skills
The above mentioned skills are very essential to be learned as this helps in the overall career
path of the individual. As these are the skills which are considered as the basic skills as

The academic skills are considered as the key aspects for the professional development of
the individual. It is very necessary for them to understand the need of the academic skills for
their future career path. It is very true that the students which are skilled and always learning new
skills stays ahead of the other students in the career. The above academic skills which has been
learned can be applied within the career path as this helps them in gaining more and more
knowledge in the future, develops the skills of talking and maintaining themselves. These skills
will mostly help them in getting jobs in the reputed companies as these big companies hires those
employees who are highly skilled and talented.
Ways for Improving the academic skills-
The ways through which the academic skills can be improved are such as-
Time management skills: The time management skills can be improved by keeping the planner
as well as setting of the timers for improving the management of the time (Boettler and et.al.,
2022).
Poor learning skills: It is very important to improve the learning skills as this is the base of the
complete development. This can be improved by changing the learning routine, getting sleep at
night of sufficient hours, keeping space between the study hours, using of the self-testing as well
as taking of the notes within the classroom continuously.
