Task 1
Introduction
The term learning is defined as the process through which the knowledge can be gained
with expertise. This report will outline the need to access own strengths and weakness in order
to enhance the overall development and growth. In addition to this, short term and long term
goals will be highlighted in the project as it is must to maintain the momentum while attaining
the desired targets (A. and et.al., 2021).
A. To start this ongoing process, it is required to assess own strengths and weaknesses.

Strengths One of my main strength is that iam people oriented and good with
communication skills.
Another strength is that I have good social engagement and I can
easily gain relevant knowledge.
Weakness I need to work on my presentation skills so that I will be able to
present my own potential In front of others.
Another weakness is considered to be time management and my study
life as I got distracted easily (Das, 2021).
Skills Explanation
Personal skills With the help of personal skills the learners became able to
interact with other people.
Academic English
language skills.
It is essential to be confident in the academic language in
various situations in order to understand the study material. It
is known that it is different from the general language and
writing about the subject.
Academic skills These are related to the habits and talents in the field of
academics. During this learning process, I have improved my

academic skills and now iam able to retain and understand
better. For instance, the research skills which are essential in
conducting the research work. Also, these skills comprise of
knowing the questions by finding credible sources and using
effective search strategies.
B. Targets in relation to short term and long term targets
It is must while considering the long term and short term goals in the life of the learner which are
explained below-
As I have further divided my goals in short term or long term targets so that it can be attained in
the decided time (Hergüner, 2021). In future, I am looking forward to be more developed with
bigger responsibilities. Mainly the target is to achieve all the targets in the specified time limit
and for the longer targets I prepared a time schedule too.
Short term targets
They are made for the short time period as these goals are made to set the focus between where
you are right now and where the person wants to go in less than a year. Such goals are
considered to be essential in order to create the effective strategies. In relation to the skills it is
required to focus on the productivity level that can be improved by keeping myself organised and
keeping the work station organised too (Idiyeva, 2020).
Long term targets
Such targets are made for the longer time period and they are planned to be achieved in the
future with proper management of the time and planning. It generally takes around a year or
more than that in order to accomplish such targets. In the end, all the learnings were helpful for
me as well as my overall development. In relation to the long term targets I will be focusing on
improving the experience with new learnings in my education and work.
C. Course of learning
As I have learnt various skills due tot the learning provided that is critical thinking as it allows
me to properly analyse the information in order to solve the problems and have the
understanding of the concepts. As it can be seen that in daily lives, one may come across
challenges or urgent situations that require the utmost need to use critical thinking to address

them. Along with it, I also understood the importance of the goal planning by keeping myself
focused in improving my productivity (Luo and Liu, 2020). I also learnt to take the feedback in
an positive manner and I can make use of my goal planning skills with the aim of creating and
monitoring my goals for both work and personal life environments (Portner, Retchless and Lai,
2020).
Conclusion
From the above information, it can be summarised that there are various skills which are
required to be developed and improve the overall development. With the help of the report,
various skills and weaknesses were demonstrated which can b e further enhanced in the future.
