REFLECTIVE SUMMARY
On the basis of the smart objectives template prepared above, I can reflect on a variety of
skills that are necessary for the university student graduates. I can very clearly state that the most
effective skill which I was able to utilise clearly was the numeracy and data analytical skills as I
was able to judge how effective and capable I am in understanding the key requirements of the
data and then interpret it accordingly (Beavers, Orange and Kirkwood, 2017). I realised that my
analytical skills are strong because I am able to clearly segregate the necessary data.
Further, I implemented a variety of communication skills which again helped me in gaining
confidence as a speaker. However, I was not able to clearly implement the use of hand gestures
and eye contact which again led to me becoming more anxious and nervous. Similarly, my time
management skills also need to be honed particularly regarding appropriate time allocation over
tasks and meeting the goals set (Johnston, 2017).
However, I was also unable to understand that there are certain aspects that can affect my
analytical skills regarding relevance of the data and in order to develop that, I selected a course
where I will be able to easily identify and segregate practices related to analytical skill
development which will increase the chance at success.
