Introduction
Plagiarism refers to an act in which there is a copying of the work
which has been done by another person without giving a proper and
due credit (Bruton and Childers, 2016). In this discussion, analysis
will be made on the designing of a game for the students.
Additionally, the details which are related with this game will be
Plagiarism
The students will be given a similar amount of time in which they need to write their assignment
(Ison, 2018). They will be made to sit on the different PC's and will be asked to maintain an
appropriate distance from each other. This will be helpful for them in understanding the way they are
required to complete their assignments in a right way at the university level effectively and
efficiently.
This game will develop the skills and competencies of the students which they
are required to develop in the right manner which will be quite helpful for them in ensuring that they
are able to effectively and efficiently attain their goals and objectives in the right way.
Instructions for playing the game-
There will be 10 students who will play the game.
The students will be asked to maintain a fair distance from each other and thus in this way they will
be able to ensure that they are able to complete their assignment in the right manner within a
stipulated period of time.
The plagiarism percentage of the students will be checked through a unique Plagiarism checking
software and they will be awarded points on the basis of the plagiarism percentage which they have
obtained.
The student who will get the highest points will win the game
Importance of Academic Integrity-
Academic Integrity is quite important to be considered at the University Level.
This is so because by maintaining the Academic Integrity the students at the university level can
make sure that they are able to achieve higher marks in their Academic Assignments (Meuschke and
et.al., 2018). This will help in ensuring that they are able to maximize their overall efficiency and
effectiveness in the right manner.
Therefore, In this way it can be said that Academic Integrity is very crucial to
be considered at the University Level (Šprajc and et.al., 2017). This is so because when the students
are able to maintain Academic Integrity they can make sure that they are able to enhance their overall
level of efficiency and effectiveness in the studies in the right manner.
At the university level, it is important that the teachers give appropriate
priority to Academic Integrity which will help them a lot to make sure that they are able to achieve
higher-level of skills and competencies in the right manner. Thus, In this way it can be said that
through the use of Academic Integrity the students will be able to excel in the Academics.
Reflection-
I am a student who is studying in the university. In our
university, our teachers had provided us a task in which we had to design a
specific game related to Plagiarism. Thus, I used the appropriate method in which
I was able to develop the game called Academic Star. As I had never designed a
game I had to make sure that I use the appropriate skills and techniques so that I
was able to design the game quite effectively and efficiently in the right manner.
Initially, I faced a lot of problems and issues as I had never
designed a game for the students. I had to make the use of the appropriate skills
and competencies for this particular purpose. The use of the following skills and
competencies will be made by me so that I am able to ensure that I can attain the
wide variety of goals and objectives related to the Game Design in the right
manner-
Creativity skills- I made use of the Creativity skills because Game Design is an
innovative concept and the use of creative ideas is quite necessary here so that
the level of creativity can be maintained in the right manner.
Innovation skills- I made the use of the Innovation skills because Game Design
is a particular concept in which the use of level of innovation has to be made so
that the game can be designed in a right manner effectively and efficiently.
Analytical skills- I made the use of the Analytical skills because in the field of
Game Design the use of analysis of different types of goals and objectives to be
attained can be made in the right manner.
Therefore, In this way I can state that the use of the above skills was made by me
in the right manner which helped me in developing the idea of Academic Star.
Therefore, I can state that the use of these particular type of skills was helpful in
ensuring that the designing of the game was done in a proper manner.
Main Body
Game- In this game, the students of an university will be given a 3,500 words
assignment to complete. The plagiarism percentage of the students will be checked
after they finish the assignment. The person having the lowest plagiarism percentage
will get the highest points and will win the game. The name of the game will be
Academic Star.
The students will be given the topic of Management Accounting
on which they will be required to write their assignment. This will be helpful for the
students to make sure that they check their plagiarism percentage in the right manner
and develop the appropriate ways in the future so that they are able to ensure that they
can reduce plagiarism in the future effectively and efficiently.
Conclusion
From the above discussion, it can be concluded that Plagiarism is a particular act in
which there is copying of the work which is done by someone else. Game Design
techniques and methods can be used in a right manner so that the Plagiarism game can
be developed which will be quite helpful in ensuring that the students can reduce their
plagiarism percentage in the right manner.
