What is referencing and why it is necessary?
Referencing means providing citation of the information and the sources from where the
information has been obtained. It is done so that the source of information can be acknowledged.
It present the information and evidence of the topic so that the reader can know that the content
provided in the report is genuine and not copied. It is necessary because it makes the research
successful and complete, (Cottrell, 2015.) it helps the person who reads the report in finding the
source of the information, it helps in improving the skills of writing and typing of a person,
putting references in the report gives authenticity to the file or the discussion which have been
presented in the report, it can help the writer to score good marks than he or she used to and it
shows that the writer has read the information thoroughly and then put it in the report. Putting
references in the files gives credibility to both the writer and the report. For instance there are
over 14 styles that a writer can use for referencing such as APA, Harvard, MLA, Vancouver,
Chicago etc. it is necessary to put references in the work every time when the information used
in the file is from the ideas or work of an another person. Information which is used in the report
must be detailed and appropriate as it is consulted from many sources. It needs to be done with in
text citations and at the end of the report the list of references is putted. (Poonpon, 2017.)
What is presentation? What are the good elements of presentation?
Presentation means presenting the asked topic in front of the audience. It is in the form of
speech, lecture which is used in order to inform the people, inspire them and motivate them so
that they can work together on the new idea. Presentation is also addressed as keynotes. To make
an presentation effective some of these elements are necessary such as including the elements of
multimedia in the presentation. The reason behind it is that there are many people who gets
bored by the words and loose the attention that is why it is recommended that most of the content
must be of visual aid so that they can learn as well as get entertained. Design of the presentation
needs to be in a way that attracts the attention of the people such as make it free of clutter, large
and sparse text and most importantly include the content with more and more visual tools. Colors
in the presentation must be palatable so that bold content can be highlighted. Over use of
animation must be avoided as it leads to errors. In order to make it more effective they need to
present it as a trial in front of different audience so that they can remove the errors and test the
audience. (Cottrell, 2019. )
