Academic study skill is used to learn something new in term of subject, or develop
understanding about specific topic. It applied for purpose of learning, which provide benefits to
individual person. The current assignment will be based on two tasks, task one will discuss
learning style utilizing Honey & Mumford and form of intelligence using Gardener’s theory.
Furthermore, task two will review the literature around particular topic and that is “To determine
the impact on mental health of care provides during COVID-19 pandemic.
TASK 1
Reflective statement
There are varied forms of models and concepts available in the world that has been used
by many people to develop or improve their learning style, from which they may get better
understanding about specific topic and use information related to it in the future.
Honey & Mumford is one of those models that has been taken into consideration by
many learners, just to obtain benefits from it (Dantas and Cunha, 2020). It encompasses four
learning styles that define who people observe activities of other people and learn from these, to
work, to act, etc. It includes activist, pragmatist, theorist and reflector.
By referring to this model, I want to discuss my learning style and that is a combination
of activist and reflector. Just because of having these two styles, I am capable to take better
action and handle the varied situations in effective and systematic manner, which is quite
important for me. I prefer to learn some new activity and action by taking initiative to do at
myself, because it enable me to determine where I am lacking and where I work hard to make
everything better. By conducting practices and converting ideas into practice manner, I had
learned what I want from longer, whether it relate to my personal or professional career. I take
initiative to engage myself totally on specific task or project that I have and efforts a lot of
complete it, without taking support from the other individuals who exist around me. It is just a
simple and short description about my first learning style which I have. I also want to discuss my
second learning style, according to that I prefer to observe what revolves around my place and
then think to take action regarding it. By thinking and observing about what happening, I had

intelligence, which allow me to handle critical situations and also strengthen to recognize the

individual, due to specific factor and the current one of them. The level of depression among
them were increasing day by day as they felt depressed by seeing how worstly virus impacted
