INTRODUCTION
Academic skills are specified set of proficiencies which determine the success and
behaviour of an individual in the organisation. Besides this, it also helps in increasing the
conscience of the individuals and their duties towards society (Baker and et.al., 2015). The
academic skills set helps to build a better society and understanding towards others. It is a time
extensive process which requires dedication, hard work and commitment.
In this process, an individual evaluates his/her strengths and weaknesses, achievements,
possibilities as well as position as compared to others. It is a process where a person performs
self-assessment and based on the output, decides his goals and the process to achieve them in a
very efficient way (Bohari, Hin and Fuad, 2017). Any kind of mistake in assessment may lead to

I will take effective measures to overcome my weaknesses & threats which can affect my

work upon my ability to work for a long period without getting bored. I will also improve my

1. Impact of Brexit on the student's specific subject area based on ongoing negotiations
Brexit was an event which was marked as the separation of UK from EU. Brexit lead to
many instabilities in the UK politically, economically and even socially. It is discussed that the
economic or financial condition of UK after Brexit as it has a major impact on the country's
economic and social well being. Now, UK does not need the trade permission from EU to carry
out its business but it requires some big enterprise unions which will help UK to regulate the
business with other countries. UK is interested in the trade unions as after Brexit, Trade unions
will help the organisations operating in country to regulate trade practices effectually. Besides
this, they will also look after that the trade policies with rules and regulations specified by
company (Rabiner, Godwin and Dodge, 2016). Apart from this, they will also help the nation to
build healthy trade relations with other countries. Further, they will help entrepreneurs to run
their business in the UK and improve nation's economy.
In this report, as student, we will discuss the impact of Brexit on the financial stability, trade
relations with other countries, work environment and economic conditions of UK after Brexit.
Besides this, we will also evaluate the impact on the economy of the countries of EU after
Brexit. The key issues faced by UK after Brexit were:
 Economic relations with EU: The decision of UK to get separated from the EU was a
major factor that affected the economy of both EU and of UK. The Brexit had a deep
impact on various countries, especially of EU. It had a negative effect on the economy &
trade relations of UK on global level. The countries which are part of EU are reluctant to
keep any ties or trade relations with the UK which has affected the economic and
financial condition & business relations of the country on a major level.
 Problems faced by UK: The major problem caused by Brexit in UK is that it lead the
country to a condition ODF economic & financial instability. After Brexit, the UK didn't
get any sort of financial or economic support to run its economy. The change in global
exchange rates will affect the foreign trade policies and currencies reserve in the country.

It will slow down the businesses and trades in the UK. Thus, such conditions will have a
major negative impact on the economy & financial conditions of UK.
 Effect on Social conditions: As the Brexit will cause an economic & financial instability
in UK, the businesses has to compensate it with cutting the jobs & unwanted expenses.
Many employees working in such businesses or traders with small business will lose their
work due to his economic disturbance in UK. The employees of foreign origins will get
reluctant to work in UK. Besides this, it will have a deep impact on the work environment
& culture in the country (von Suchodoletz and et.al., 201). The businesses will cut the
jobs or salaries which will demotivate the employees. Also, those companies which were
working with the collaboration with EU will now not have any sort of support or
investments from the EU countries to run their businesses.
 Benefits for UK: After Brexit, as the UK has a major opportunity to come as the major
economic power in the world. After getting separated from the EU, the UK his not in bide
now with the trade policies & restriction that are been imposed by EU on its constituent
countries. Thus, this will make the UK a more adaptive country for new economical &
social changes. Now UK can freely indulge in any sort of trade practices globally. It will
give the global exposure to UK which will lead to the growth of trade in UK & will
stabilize the economic & financial conditions of UK. Besides this, UK can invite work
forces & investors from other countries to work for its economy (Fuhs ,and et.al. 2014).
This will also bring the foreign currencies in form of investment which will stabilize the
economic conditions of the UK. Also, it will help the local traders & start ups to increase
their business on a global scale. Besides this, the trade unions & government will work in
a more flexible & open way to meet the economic requirement of UK. Such condition
will invite the new start ups to develop in UK which will attract the foreign trade &
investment in the country. It will also produce an enormous job opportunities for the new
employees & help the UK to get the Employees of various cultural & social background.

From the above research report, I have learned about the importance of academic skills in
the context of betterment of the society & the effect of academic conditions on the social well

being & behaviour of the individual. Besides this, I performed my self assessment which help me
to gain a self conscience & self evaluation of my capabilities & weaknesses (Lim, 2017.). Apart
from this, I get to know about the effect of Brexit on the financial & economic condition of the
UK with respect to EU.
Conclusion
Thus, from the above research we can conclude that academic skills are essential for the
betterment of the society. The academic skills will help a person to gain success which will
improve his self esteem & social well being & also help him to perform a self assessment of his
qualities to get an idea about its strength & weaknesses. Besides this, we have also discussed the
effect of Brexit on global level with respect to its effect on economic & HR conditions of UK.
The global exposure will help the UK to stabilize its economy & meet the global pace of
development.
