which it will be of use for both studies and future plans
Academic and research writing is the module that facilitated me to develop my understanding of
different types of aspects that are required to be focused by all the individuals to develop their
skills and capabilities. The completion of this module facilitates me to learn various thing that
will be beneficial for me n future plans as well as further studies. During this module all the
students were required to select one business issue and they discussed in context of it with the
help of variety of research material. It facilitated me to develop my understanding regarding
various sources which could be used by the students to get proper and detailed information about
the topic which is selected by them to complete a project. Apart from this, it is also very
important for all the individuals to make sure that they are having detailed and proper
information of the topic which will be discussed by them (Benbow, Lee and Hora, 2020).
When I was completing this module, my task was to select one of the business issues
from provided alternatives and then discussed in context of it in detail. These topics were
Adapting to new technology, Environmental sustainability, Workforce planning etc. While
selecting one of them I learnt that if an individual will be completing such type of project then it
is very important to select the topic which is familiar to them as it will help to complete it in less
time. When I was working on the project, I realised that team working and proper
communication is also very important because if the person will not be able to interact with other
properly then it may result in issues for resolution of the problems which may affect the project. I
was having good communication skills that helped me to ask other for help and guide me
through out the project. Apart from this, I also learnt that for a student it is essential to make sure
that the tasks that are assigned by tutor are completed on time as it can help to meet the
deadlines. For this purpose, time management skill is very important if the individual will not be
having this quality then it may affect successful completion of the project (Bennett-Levy and
Finlay-Jones, 2018).
This project helped me to identify all my strengths, weaknesses and threats along with
improvement opportunities so that I can develop my capabilities to complete this type of project
in future. Apart from this, this module helped me to improve my skills to research about the topic
which is assigned by the tutor as it can help to complete the studies successfully. All the
learnings from this module are very beneficial for me as it will help me to use it in future plans

such as working on a senior position in an organisation and for that personal skills are very
important that are improved by me while completing the module (Keevy, 2020).
