ACC610 Module: Reflective Presentation on Team Performance Analysis

This assignment is a reflective presentation on team performance, based on a group project involving the creation of an Excel spreadsheet model for scenario planning for a gold mining company, Mulga Meadows. The presentation details the team's formation, task allocation, management, and coordination, highlighting the use of Tuckman's stages of team development and a WhatsApp group for communication. It also discusses the allocation of tasks based on team members' capabilities, ensuring no conflicts arose, and how a timeline was used to manage tasks effectively. The project required the identification of stakeholders, sustainability criteria (economic, social, and environmental), and ethical evaluations. The author reflects on the learning experience, emphasizing the acquisition of knowledge about sustainability, spreadsheets, and teamwork. The spreadsheet model aimed to allow scenario planning for Mulga Meadows, focusing on aspects of the company's operation, such as site feasibility analysis, mining, processing, or rehabilitation.

TEAM FORMATION
 Each of the members of the team
were known to each other beforehand
 This simplified the process of team
formulation and thus no significant
conflicts arose because of this
 I took the role of the leader because
of the respect that the other team
members showed towards me and
also because of my own leadership
abilities
 We used Tuckman’s team
development stages for the creation
of the team

ALLOCATION OF TASKS
 The tasks were allocated to the
team members on the basis of
their capabilities or abilities
 The opinion or the feedback of
each of the members of the team
were taken into account for the
allocation of the tasks
 None of the team members were
given the kind of tasks that they
did not want to perform and this
in turn avoid conflicts or
complaints

MANAGEMENT OF THE
DIFFERENT TASKS
 A timeline was created was the
completion of the different tasks to
ensure that they would be completed
before the stipulated deadline
 The team members who were not able
to complete the tasks within the
prescribed time frame were given
help or support by the other members
of the team
 I personally took the role of the
leaders to ensure that the different
tasks were managed in an effective
manner

 All the members of the team
collaborated and coordinated with
each other for the effective
completion of the assignment
 We even created a Watsapp group to
facilitate communication and thereby
help in the completion of the different
tasks which were allocated to the
team members
 I am personally very satisfied with the
performance of the members of my
team and feel that they performed
appropriately

PERSONAL EXPERIENCE
 The assignment was a great learning
experience for me and I was able to
learn many new things from the same
 I not only gained an effective working
knowledge about the concept of
sustainability but was also being able
to learn about spreadsheets as well.
 I was also able to learn about the
aspect of team and team works by
working in a team for the completion
of the assignment.
