Incident: A Car Accident
Detail of the Event:
Sir, I was returning form the apartment of a friend of mine, John Perez, who stays at
Cleveland. I left his home at around 11.30 pm, and while coming from his place, I had taken
the route that passes through the Natural Museum of Cleveland. I had taken the way as it is a
short route to reach my home, at Detroit. Now, since the road was clear and there was no
trace of any cars or human being on the road, so I was driving at a speed of 70mph, which is
a little higher than the standard speed limit of the city. Sir I am aware, that the speed limit of
the city is 50mph, but as it was late, and I had to drive quite a long way, I wanted to get home
early, and hence I was driving a little fast. However, while, passing by the museum, I
suddenly found out that there was a deer in the middle of the road, and as I was already at a
high speed, I got scared and could not understand what to do. I continued to press the horn,
but however it was not moving, and in order to save the deer, I pressed the brakes and tried to
change the direction, which made me hit the tree that stood nearby, and that is how the car
got hit and further damaged.
Monologue:

2A Car Accident
“I know Neil, you are mad at me. May be you should be to some extent. But, trust me, I did
not do it intentionally. You know, that went to John’s place as he had thrown a party, so I left
late from his place. You know how much he can nag, so I overstayed and got quite late. I was
trying to reach my place as soon as possible. So I was driving at a speed of 70mph. I know, I
was speeding the car, but there was no one on the road, and suddenly out of the blue, there
was a deer standing of the road. At first, I was quitter scared seeing the deer on the road like
that, that tool, at a time like that, and for a moment I could not understand what I must do. I
was continuously honking, but it seemed like that it just could not hear. There came a time, I
thought I am almost going to kill the deer, however, at the last moment, I managed to press
the brake, and that made me change the direction, and I hit the tree. I know that you are
extremely exasperated, and you should be, but trust me, it was not an intentional deed. It
happened by mistake. I am sorry for the car and I promise that I will fix your car.

Dear Stacy,
Hope you are doing fine. Well, I am not, and that is the purpose of this letter.
Yesterday I met a car accident. Well, don’t get too excited, I am fine. Thanks to the safety
measures of his car. Well yes, I had borrowed Neil’s car to go to John’s place, as it was his
birthday yesterday. While coming back from his place, I got a bit late and I was speeding up

my car. It was on 70mph. Now, you know that I am a safe driver, and I sped up because as I
was coming by the National Museum of Cleveland, there was nobody at that point of time.
Suddenly, I saw that there was a deer in the middle of the road. I was honking continuously,
but it would not move, hence I had to press the brakes, and that made me hit a nearby tree
with my car. It was a very difficult situation for me. I was repeatedly honking, but it seemed
that the deer could not hear the sound. So I had to press the brakes, so that I do not kill the
deer. It was one of the worst day of my life. I was taken to the police station and I had to
report my deed. Neil is also very mad at me, for obvious reasons. I have told him that I would
fix his car, but of course, he will not trust me the next time.
Anyway, please visit soon. It has been a long time since we have met.
Yours,
Cordellia
