INTRODUCTION
The accommodation industry refers to that type of industry which refers to the
hospitality sector. Here accommodation refers to the building, room and lodging which
provides shelter for a person to stay, sleep and live. It includes hotel, tourism agencies,
restaurants and bars. (Dudás, and et.al., 2017 ).In this report, the research has also been
done on the types of accommodation services available within the hospitality industry.
The chosen organisation is Mariott International Inc. It is the hotel which an American
multinational company which operates, franchises and licenses lodging including hotel,
residential and timeshare properties. It is the largest hotel chain in the world by the
number of available rooms.

Hotels are the most common and traditional way of accommodation. The common
services which are provided by the hotel. (Flegel, T. W., 2020). It includes bed and

segments and the identifiable group of customers are as follows:
World Class Service: They are also called as luxury hotels. They target those kind of

Mid-range service: The hotel offers the three to four star hotels service which
appeals to the largest segment of the travelling public. These kind of hotels do not
provide elaborate services and has the adequate staffing. They provide different kind
of services which includes uniformed service, food and beverage room service, in-
room entertainment and various other facilities.
Budget and limited service: These hotel have the speciality in terms of providing
services with respect to the clean, comfortable, safe, inexpensive rooms and meet the
basic needs of guests. (Mittendorf, C., 2016). These kind of hotels appeal primarily
to budget-minded travellers who want the room with minimum services and
amenities which is required for a comfortable stay. With the kind of aim that without
providing the unnecessary additional paying cost for costly services.

In terms of Mariott International Inc hotel, it provides services with respect to the
Mariott management services which provides food and facilities management for
business, education and health care clients. Mariott senior living services which
includes the management of seventy five senior living communities and with respect to
the Mariott distribution services which operates fifteen distribution centres. There are
some differences between the commercial and non-commercial businesses in the
accommodation sector. (Coşkun, and et.al., 2019 ).In the commercial business within
the accommodation sector, their primary goal is to provide the services with speed,
efficiency and competitive prices while keeping the services to a minimum level.
Commercial business operate on the basis of for-profit basis. Under the non-
commercial
business, the focus is not on selling the F & B products. But it act as the secondary
support service. Non-commercial food services always act as the facilitating factor.

standard on the online media and takes care about the customers feedback so that no one can
post on the online platforms into the negative spectrum. It’s the responsibility of the staff
members of the hotel to satisfy their customers and always customers should be their first
priority so that their customers also create a impression in the mind that the hotel first
preference is with respect to their customers only. So these grading , classification on the
online media influence the choices of the customers.

bookings accordingly. There are various kinds of customers in the market which
belongs to the different categories of classes. So the ownership grading, classification
and online reviews has helped them to take the best decision in terms of their financial
criteria as well as according to the best services provided by the hotel. That’s why
people follow most of the online reviews because up to the some extent they are
authentic and practical in nature.

Accommodation industry in today s fast moving environment. Because up to
the some extent and majorly it contributes towards the gross domestic product
of the country. (Mamivand, and et.al., 2015). And also it supports in financial
manner also for the growth of the country. That’s why it is one of the very
important sector in all among the sectors.
