Globalisation has increased the demands of customers across the borders and it has increases
the productivity of hospitality industry. Due to rapid changes in the tourism globally it has
increased the growth of hospitality industry positively. This has helps to support the economic
growth of the country effectively. Tourism also helps the country to gain better development of
infrastructure and increase the number of business owners in the market. This helps the country
to generate higher revenues effectively. Accommodation sectors are one of the essential parts of
hospitality industry and also provide satisfaction to guests while travelling. Accommodation
industry has increasing due to increase in the tourism all over the world and due to increase in
competition in the industry business evaluates effective innovation which helps to develop
knowledge and skills of the country effectively. In this report there is brief information on
different factors of accommodation sectors which helps to increase the satisfaction of their
customers effectively.

Types of Accommodation Services
There are many accommodation services available in the hospitality industries due to
increase in the demand of tourists. Accommodation sector also developed to increase the
satisfaction level and experiences of the customers effectively. It is very essential business in
hospitality industry to become more customers oriented and provide them with high quality of
services due to increasing competition in accommodation sectors.
Hotels
Hotels are high customer services accommodation services which help the customers to
increase their experiences and satisfaction level. Hotel provides personal rooms to guests and
breakfast with the price paid. Hotel are also very effective in provide all the family and business
facilities to increase the satisfaction and improve its goodwill in the market to achieve high profit
margins effectively. Hotels are also very effective for the customers as it provides privacy to
their customers in order to increase their relaxation time in their travel effectively. However
hotel very expensive options in the market due to completion and betters services in the
accommodation sectors.

and also want to enjoy their travel without any interference. Self services are the flats, cottages,
apartments which are provides to customers with all the facilities and they have to make their
food and other services to increase their satisfaction during the stay. This also helps tourists to
increase the stay period due to cheaper prices.
Guest Houses
Guest houses are services which are offered to customers in a house with other faculties.
The services quality did good as compared to self services and also provide better and friendly
environment. These services are generally loved by the tourists who are wanderers and do not
want to spend much in hotels and wants to interact with the local communities to increase their
knowledge and experiences about the country. However, guesthouse do not provide better
privacy to guests as the services are provided in the house.
Hostels
Hostels are the accommodation services which are commonly used by large group of young
travellers. Hostels provide large rooms with many beds to reduce the cost with less services as
compared to a hotel. These services provide basic minimum quality standards at lower prices to
the guest. There is no room for privacy in hostels as many students live in hostels and many
accommodations have strict rules according to their culture and legal regulation to avoid any
criminal activity. Hostels are also very strict with separate male female stays to avoid any kind of
issues which can result to reduce the image of the accommodation services in the area
negatively.
Different Forms of Ownership Applicable To Accommodation Services
Independently owned properties
Independently owned properties are the hotels which are operated by single owner which
have the power to make his decision in increasing the efficiency of hotel activities in increasing
brand value and customer satisfaction effectively. Independent hotels are having high completion
in the market. Individual hotel are also not having better brand value like chain hotel to compete
in market thus reduces the profit margins. For example, Best Western hotel is independent
owned hotel.

increase the revenue generation and also give better brand value in the market to attract more

to expand in market as the owner has to follow the policies of the parent brand hotel to increase
the profit margins effectively.

Hotel rating system is used to differentiate the hotel by their quality of services provided to
customers. This helps to increase the potential of the hotel to gain better profit margins
according to their ratings as it directly impact their brand value. Rating of hotel also helps the
customers to increase awareness of the customers about the facilities and quality of services the
hotel will provide without enquiring or checking. There are many countries in the world which
use public standard rating system which is implemented by the government to rate the hotel
according to their quality.

Hotel has developed this rating system which helps to define the quality of services in a
hotel with all the activities and products provided to customers during the stay.

This means the hotel has standard facilities and service quality for the customers at very

Australian hotel focuses on the need and wants of the customers to increase the

Three star is stated as first class hotel where all the service s are more effective to
increase the satisfaction with moderately high prices.

Luxury hotel are rated four stars as they have deluxe guests experiences and also provide
better options to customers with superior infrastructure and highly efficiency workforce which
help the customers to increase their experience and satisfaction level effectively.
Five Star
These hotel are not for budget travels and customers are these hotel are the most
expensive and with extreme quality of service delivery with better customer orientated products
and services which helps to increase the potential of hotel to increase their brand value. These
hotel only target on the upper social class customers to maintain the standard of quality.
Diamond Rating System
This rating system is followed by USA, Canada, Mexico and other countries. This rating
system helps the hotel to e affected with AAA rating system which needs to have 27
requirements to be approved. Safety, quality are the key requirements of the approval process of
this rating system. This helps the customers to become more satisfied.
