Computer Skills- The Certificate course in that of Accounts Administration at Tas TAFE has
helped me in learning about Spreadsheet Software along with Word- Processing Software that
can help me in the position of Account Assistant. The course has helped me in learning about
payroll software along with basic computer skills that can help me in prospering in the position
of Account Assistant.
Financial Skills ā€“ I am well equipped with basic financial skills that is required for withdrawal
of cash, keeping a track of the expenses, maintaining an inventory and other daily banking
habits. I have been able to learn these skills with the help of the Certificate Course in Accounts
Administration at Taf TAFE. My skills related to financial aspects has been sharpened with the
help of the course.
Time Management Skills ā€“ Over a period of time and with experience gathered over these
years, I have developed time managing skills. I can work within given deadlines. I know how to
prioritize tasks and complete it within a given timeline. While teaching in Nepal, I have
developed punctuality, management skills and leadership qualities. The account assistant has to
multi-task and hence it is important that he can manage his team in the proper manner.
Team Management Skills - As a teacher I had to keep myself positive and motivated all the
time so that I could encourage my students. Team management is a skill I have inculcated within
me recently (Khan 2015). I have also done the accounts of the staffs and the school in general.
As a leader, I have patience and motivation that is required to lead any team. I do possess basic
financial and banking skills. Although I can work well in a team, I can also work efficiently
individually. All the knowledge that I have gathered tells me that having a calm and cool head is

very important in any job profile. It pays off during any tensed situation. Also having smalls
goals can help in achieving the mission of the organization.
Thus, I believe I am a suitable candidate for the position of an account assistant.
