it is important to see other's growth as a part of our growth and Marcus Group does the same. I

Along with it, I acquire the necessary skills and requirements that has been asked by the

effective results for the organisations and for mine individual development as well. My actions will
empower the individual of the accounting team and I will try to motivate the overall department
employees. (Snell, Morris and Bohlander, 2015)
2. Tell us about a time you worked in a group to achieve an objective (what did you do and
what was the outcome?)
In Arcadia, recently there was a shortage of raw materials due to the Brexit issue in
which few of the major European Countries has decided to stop supplying raw materials to a
few British companies including Arcadia. Due to less raw materials and higher demands it

became necessary for the company to look for other options which can provide the same
quality raw materials. (Christensen, 2017)
The overall sales and accounting team was assigned to look for the manufacturers
that can provide the best quality raw materials within a short time period. We were set to
look for manufacturers worldwide and I was along with my team were looking for
manufacturers which our competitors buy raw materials from. (Evetts, 2017)
I tried cold calling those companies which our competitors were in touch with. After
few successful efforts, I successfully managed to find few manufacturers that were able to
provide us the raw materials in the required time period. From this, we successfully found
one of the companies provided us with the required raw materials and the operations
continued successfully.
3. Tell us about a time when you identified a new approach to solve a problem. (what did you
do and what was the outcome?)
During pursuing MBA, our class was assigned to perform a task where we required to determine
how the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) of a country impacts its overall services and population.
We needed to submit the task within a given time period and each individual had to find its own
approach for the given task. (Moffat and Mercer, 2015)
For me it was the first time when I was assigned with such task. I had no clue about the task and
had no information of how I am going to perform it. It was difficult for me take the help of my
classmates as they were having the same task.
To solve the issue, I went to the college library and looked for books that constituted the required
information about Gross domestic products. Also, I asked my teachers of economics who were
aware of the issues of GDP and their impacts. Along with it, I tried researching it on the internet and
looked for the sources that helped me in understanding GDP and its impact.
Using all these approaches I was successful to find out how I am going to prepare my report and I
did it with utmost interest and involvement. I successfully prepared my report and provided it
before the given time period. (Greene and Kirton, 2015)
4. Tell us about a time when you had to manage a number of different priorities and
complete a number of tasks in a short amount of time (what did you do and what was the
outcome?)
In Arcadia, it became difficult for the organisation to run its operations smoothly after the
Document Page
United Kingdom decided to move out the form the European Union. This led to a load of
paperwork and made it difficult for us to manage everything in order. The rush created by the
Brexit in our organisation made us face hinges in delivery and supply of our products. The
accounting team led by me had to observe and identify all the Arcadia's accounts in relations
with all the major European companies. (Siebert and Martin, 2016)
The team was set to manage the paperwork and tasks of Brexit and the organisations daily
schedule as well. It became difficult for the Accounting team to manage everything in very less
time.
It became important for us to manage each of the tasks effectively in order to run our
operations smoothly. For this, I asked my team to set the tasks based on Priority, Less Priority
and No priority. In our system now each and every task was set up with P(Priority), LP(Less
Priority) and NP(No Priority). This helped my team and me to do the work fast and efficiently.
It became easy to do the tasks with higher priority first, and task with less or no priority later.
From adopting this approach it became easy to manage time and to run smooth operations again.
5. Tell us about a project you worked on that required you to persuade others to your point
of view (what did you do and what was the outcome?)
During my summer internship, I was assigned to prepare a presentation about the impact
that climate change is causing worldwide and how big factories and industries all around the
world are contributing to it. I had to make my team members understand how the overall
climate change is impacting the environment and the issue of climate change is real.
For this, I looked for the facts and figures of different factories and industries such as
petroleum, gas, which are impacting the environment. I prepared the presentation with
details that how petroleum includes harmful gases such as methane and carbon monoxide
and impacts our atmosphere.(Taylor, Doherty and McGraw, 2015)
During my presentation I explained these details to my team members. I explored everything
that was an environmental issue and was there because of the climate change. Also, I
described them with greater detail as how the Climate Change is the cause of our harmful
deeds and if these actions did not stop soon then our planet has to suffer from a variety of
consequences in the near future.
With the help of good detail in my presentation and explaining the key points I was able to
make my team understand the impact of Climate Change. I tried to use effective
communication skills as well to make sure that every team member understand things
effectively. The whole presentation went successfully and each of the team member was

convinced and was ready to make sure that other people understand it as well.
