INTRODUCTION
A career action plan can be acknowledged as the flexible planning document owned and
oversee by young candidates aimed to signify their advanced career development learning. This
kind of plan supports younger candidates to establish their aspirations, elucidate their actions to
realise dreams or aims, commit to participating in the planned activities. Self-reflection helps an
individual to reflect on themselves and take time to think about their present and future activities.
It helps in meditating to know where they lack or needs improvement to increase the skills or
abilities (Caputo, Fregonese and Langher, 2020). It supports in altering the behaviours, attitudes,
desires, thoughts and motivations. The present report is based upon personal analysis in which
strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats are identified so that a person can grow and
improve themselves to work better in the chosen field. A career action plan will be outlined to
cover and improve the relevant areas, knowledge or abilities. At the end of this report, CV will
be constructed for the chosen career.
TASK
Personal analysis.
Since I have a desire to grow myself in the domain of accountancy, I went through
several courses and studies related with the accounts and finances. These learning helped me to
gained the skills, knowledge, competencies, concepts and so forth. I have got the chance to work
in a global company where I worked and developed myself in various areas, but also I found
some deficiencies which I needed to enhance to increase performance level in the organisation.
My seniors and mentors gave me several tasks and activities, through which I have realised that
there are some knowledge, abilities or skills which I should developed. These developments or
enhancements will support me in fulfilling my dreams and aspirations in the chosen field i.e.
accountancy. In order to better carry out my job or work, a personal SWOT analysis is done so
that I can know my strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats.
Strengths:
Active learning and adaptability skills: I have clearly identified that this is one of my
key skills as I am able to learn actively while adapting several new changes and
modifications that comes into my way of doing work. I am able to learn about new tools,
technology, software that are used in my regular working.

Time-management skills: I am good at managing time and priorities through which I
can do any work on time and meet certain deadlines given by mentors and seniors. This
skill helps me analysing the work and finish it on time. In order to grow myself in
accountancy domain, managing time is very important to record data or transactions on
daily basis so that overall results can be accurate matched. This also helps in managing
work pressure in the peak time.
Weaknesses:
Proficiency in preparing financial statement: I have realised that this is one of the
areas where I need some development as I am weak in working at MS Excel as well as
spread sheet. I am not able to record and identify data promptly. Also, this deficiency
resulted in decreased productivity and efficiency in doing work.
Strategic thinking and presentation skills: I found that I am not good at creativity and
innovative to plan for something. This skill is needed to identify innovative solutions or
ways to problems risen in the business. Also, I need to develop this skill to maintain
accurate data and figures to know the fiscal outcomes.
Opportunities:
Technical skills: This is the area where I see growth opportunities for me. I found that
developing technical skills helps me to conduct accounting practices in an efficient way. I
found by improving some practical knowledge will help me to operate mechanical, IT,
mathematical and scientific tasks and projects. In order to prepare financial accounts,
GST, tax returns and much more, technical skills will help me to do so even more
efficiently.
Threats:
Data analytical skills: This is another key skill where I see some threat as I am not good
at analysing things and data. Analysing data and create proper report is important for an
accountant as they help company knowing their profit and losses.

With the help of personal SWOT analysis, I have came to know about many key areas
which are important for an accountant to grow and improve so that they can work efficiently and

knowing the ways, together with times-scales to develop or improve some skills, abilities or
