INTRODUCTION
Career in accountancy profession has been increased because of the increasing demands
of accountants. For running any business accountants are very important as they have to keep the
budgets, fill the tax return and as the finance is most important part in a business, managing the
finance is also as important(Maree and Che, 2020). Considering the meaning of accountancy, it
means that managing all the incomes and the expenses of the business and not just these
accountants perform many other functions also. The accountants have to work for examining all
the financial records, to ensure that the financial records comply with all the laws as specified by
the government and have to give the advise to the owner of the business regarding how they can
reduce the cost and can work on the increasing profits and revenue. For the accountants
professional ethics are plays very crucial to them and the students who study accountancy have
to follow all the rules and code of ethics with their college coursework.
MAIN BODY
Personal analysis
Career in accountancy profession was always my dream which I have to work on so that I can
become best in the accountancy and also in my profession(Flasher, Luchs and Souza, 2018). For
learning about accounts I have done my the B.Sc in Accounts and Finance (ACCA) which is
important to become the chartered accountant in which I have specialised in the corporate
finance and audit. I have done my bachelors in the accounts and I have also done the diploma
course in accounts which will be useful for me in my profession. I have done my B.Sc in
accountancy from the university Birmingham City University and have done my post graduation
also in the accountancy and finance. I have taken the experience in accountancy for 1 year and I
am looking for some another job so that it would be easier for me to become an accounts
professional. Due the COVID- 19 pandemic outbreak it made difficult for me to look for the
other jobs and work to gain the experience. I have developed various skills which are required in
the accountancy professional which are computer skills, have the quality of leadership skills. But
the major issue is that I have to work for my skills also which I lack in which includes my
communication skills and the numerical skills. I am working on my communication skills but the
major role which is played out of all the skills is the communication only. I have to improve my

this one skill majorly and the other which is numerical I know that this can be improved by
practising or taking online classes and giving the tests.
SWOT analysis-
SWOT analysis is useful in identifying the strengths and weaknesses of the person which
has been discussed below-
 Strengths- My major strength and power which I consider is my hard work and patience
which will be helpful for me to achieve the goal(Vapiwala and Winkfield, 2018).
Accounts profession requires a lot of skills and moreover the knowledge which have to
be acquired by me. Concentrating more on the study and developing the knowledge about
the subject is what is required in this profession because in the end the knowledge and my
work experience will be counted. I know that I would be able to work on such things
because I believe in doing hard work and this is my major strength.
 Weakness- Accounting profession is more about the knowledge and the skills which is
important in gaining the job of your dream. But the things in which I lack is my weakest
point in solving the mathematical or numerical problems in the accounts which I have to
work on hardly. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic it become very difficult to take the
coaching for which I have decided to take the online classes to improve my this weakness
and improve it at a faster rate.
 Opportunities- The profession of accounting the major job opportunities because of the
increased demand and no business can work without keeping the accountant. I have the
opportunity to become the company secretary and the chartered accountant because of the
ACCA degree which I hold which gives me the immense opportunity to work where I
wished. Not just this I can become the advisor in accounting to the big business for which
I have to gain the experience and have to work on some of my skills. The accountants are
the highest paid job and if I have developed my knowledge and skill in this particular
subject then I know that I will become successful in my profession.
 Threats- The major threat in becoming the accounts professional or choosing the
accounts as my professional is the AI and automation which is taking the traditional
accounting work and the requirement of more skills(Park and Lee, 2018). Technology
have increased and so also the knowledge of IT literacy and to learn the cloud technology
which I lack in and not having the full knowledge of it. Communication is also very

important because this is the only factor by which I can maintain and develop my client
relations.

developed many skills which are required in the accounts profession but have to work in some
areas. More hard work and dedication towards the accountancy and the learning of ethics which
are required in this profession is required for me to learn so that I would be able to tackle all the
situation easily.
