INTRODUCTION
Career development can be defined as the process of selecting right career, enhancing
skills and working in the right direction. It is a life long process and it is necessary to take wise
decision to get idea job with right skill set (Suleman, 2018). In the starting of this report career
goals are mentioned. The target roles in the career are also part of this report. The skill gaps are
analysed so that action plan is formulated effectively. CV is also attached so that the career
success can be achieved and experience related to the CV is also done. In the end of this report
action plan is formulated.

Your Career Goals
It is important to set career goals. These are the one that an individual wants to achieve in
future. Setting right goals as per the area of interest is necessary and assist to become an
successful person. My career goals are as follows:
To work for a reputed taxation firm in London
To start my own company after 5 years in London
To manage the company in an effective manner
First of all I would like to start my career by doing a job in taxation firm. It will help me
to enhance my knowledge and get practical experience. It will assist me in starting my own
business (Blackmore, Gribble and Rahimi, 2017). I have keen interest in taxation and I am good
at accountancy. All this will given me direction and guidance so that I am able to start my own
company. I will start my business after a time period of years. These 5 years I will work with
full dedication in my job.

It is important to know about the roles and responsibilities that are required to work in
taxation firm. For that reason I keep focus on mu studies so that all the knowledge that is being
given to me is imparted effectively. There is need to remember all the information so that it can
be used at the time of job in future (Howcroft, 2017). There are skills that must be developed in
order to achieve career goals and objectives. It is necessary to work according to the chosen
career so that targets are achieved. I have analysed that these are the important points that I must
know about and follow to become effective worker in tax department.

The main task is to prepare multi-state tax returns and work according to the laws

that they are correct.
To monitor the expenses of the business organisation and conduct financial planning. It
helps to implement taxation strategies and to minimise the financial risk of the
organisation.
To maintain relationship with the auditors and represent the company at the time of audit
check.
Build network and develop relationship with the clients. Working properly so that clients
are able to trust the organisation.
Working according to the norms of the organisation and following the orders of seniors.
Work effectively in team and and supporting the team members wherever required. To
perform best and achieve the task assigned on time.
I want to do this job as I have keen interest in taxation. Along with that I am good at
numbers that help me to complete the work effectively. I like to read the taxation laws and easily
remember them. I am able to retain knowledge and use the same. All these skills will help me to
hired at a taxation firm.
What are the gaps you will need to close?
After graduation I have worked with a small company in accountancy department. I was
handling the accounts over there and formulating the financial statements for the organisation. I
have developed my skills to deal with the numbers and to study the financial statements and
