Background of the project
Accounting refers to the process of recording, classifying, analysing and summarising the
transactions, in one accounting year. In general term accounting is recording of facts and figures
on daily basis. Generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) define principles, standards
and rules and regulations to improve the consistency and comparability of financial reporting.
There are to sides of each transaction one is debit and another is credit, it is known as double
entry system of accounting. It is important for the growth of the company and taking financial
decisions by forecasting (Armstrong and et. al., 2022). To ascertain the true financial position of
the business accounting is essential. Accurate and timely records are maintained in accounting.
There are different types of accounting are financial accounting, tax accounting, cost accounting,
management accounting and tax accounting. For the preparation of budget, evaluation of
business productivity, to reduce errors, decision-making and develop new business strategies
accounting is necessary. Correctness of each transaction is obtained from the books of accounts
so that all the transactions of business maintained on daily basis.

Rationale of the project
Accounting play an important role in keeping records of the business transactions. It helps
in facilitate decision making by the management team. Decision include expansion,
improvement and increase the efficiency of the business. It help in communicating the result of

business to the users of the accounts. Investors, lenders, creditors and competitors are accounting
users, they can use the accounting for different purpose (Alabdullah, 2022). Financial report of
each business enterprise is maintained by the accounting to keep all the records in one formate.
Proper management of accounting helps in accurate and effective recording of assets and
liabilities. Accounting helps to ensure the financial statement of company accurately and legally
reported. Accounting helps to find the true and exact position of business entity.

Research method
Use of both primary and secondary method would be made along with quantitative
