Introduction:
The assignment basically deals with the three companies from different sectors which
are the Pact Group which is material based industry, Virtus health is basically a healthcare
equipment industry and Meridien Energy is a utility based industry.
Discussion:
In Response to Question 1
In case of the Pact Group, the return of the first day of trading is negative which
means that the offer price of the company is slightly overpriced and in that case the strategy
of the company will not be able to attract the potential shareholders in the market. The IPO of
Virtus Health and Meridien Energy is perfectly priced where the company will be successful
to attract the shareholders in the market which is a good sign for the company.
In Response to Question 2
Pact Group and Meridien Energy will be able to add value to the shareholders of the
company as the share price for the last 5 years of the company is increasing for both the
company. But on the other hand in case of Virtus Health will not be able to attract the
shareholders in that case.

Definitely the economic and market factors put impact on the results of the IPO as
there is continues change in the political and economic which actually creates impact on the
market.

As per the criticality and assumption on the analysis it can be said that in the case
Meridien Energy the IPO is a huge success compared to the other two companies.

From the above discussion it can be concluded that in case of stock market valuation
IPO plays a significant role which has been depicted in the above discussion.
