This project details the design and analysis of an Accounting Information System (AIS) for Twin Sister Construction, a start-up company. The project encompasses a project plan, system documentation, and internal controls analysis, and recommendations. The group designed four key subsystems: sales management, purchase management, inventory management, and payroll management, each documented with narratives, flowcharts, and control matrices. The project addresses system objectives, processes, decision responsibilities, and associated risks, offering managerial recommendations to improve operational and information system effectiveness. The internal control analysis identifies potential weaknesses and proposes additional controls to ensure the security and efficiency of the AIS. This project provides a comprehensive overview of AIS design and implementation, including the challenges faced by the company and the proposed solutions to improve their financial operations.
