INTRODUCTION
The report of reflection will comprehensively evaluate two significant LinkedIn profiles
in the field of accounting profession. Comparison and contrast between these 2 personal brands
will be highlighted by showcasing 3 major differences. Further strength, weakness and one
particular action to strengthen the personal brand for entering the accounting profession will be
illustrated.
MAIN BODY
Critical review, comparison and contrast
Two significant accounting professionals taken from LinkedIn platform are Adiseshan
Iyer and Srinivas Vaddiparti. Srinivas Vaddiparti is an accountant with a degree in accounting
and CPA Australia certificate who is working in greater Sydney area. With an experience of 9
years as a corporate financial manager, he is currently working at brinks Australia pty Ltd. His
expertise is based in financial and management accounting along with inventory control in
FMCG companies (Srinivas Vaddiparti - Greater Sydney Area | Professional Profile, 2022).
Adiseshan Iyer is finance and accounting professional with an experience of more than
20 years. He is currently working at Maryborough district health services in Victoria, Australia
as an accountant. He has pursued MBA and have CPA Australia certificate. Mr. Iyer has
expertise in debt management, budget preparation, treasury and stakeholder management.
Major point differences in these professionals profile is their experience which differs
and the qualification as Mr. Iyer is also an MBA along with CPA. And their areas of expertise
also differs as Srinivas is not an expert in debt management like Mr. Iyer. Both are highly
professional in their niche areas of working.
Personal brand, Strengths, weakness and action needs to be taken
My personal brand highlights my interest in numbers, accounting data and have scored
well in accounting so far. Internship in an accounting firm. Niche expertise in accounting areas
like balance sheet, trial balance and cash flows. Skills like time management, learning abilities,
communication and problem solving attitude will enable to work well in the role of an
accountant (Mellado, Parte and Villanueva, 2020).
As I look through my areas of interest and capabilities, it is very evident that I have keen
interest in accounting and numbers which is my strength to pursue a career in accounting. My
willingness to learn new concepts, ways and motivation is another strength which will help me in

this profession. Also, I am a solution oriented person which is a prerequisite in the field of
accounting.
Yet lack of computer based accounting knowledge is a weakness which can hinder my
growth as an accounting professional (Adler and Stringer, 2018). Also, my inability to
understand some accounting principles which are crucial is a shortcoming for me.
One particular vital action which I need to take in order to strengthen my personal brand
is learning computer based accounting and gaining computer operational knowledge which can
make me efficient in accounting career. As getting technology friendly, is very important in the
modern era (Ballou, Heitger and Stoel, 2018).
CONCLUSION
The above report has critically analysed 2 significant accounting professionals' LinkedIn
account. A significant comparison has been drawn highlighting 3 major differences such as
experience, expertise and qualifications. Critical analysis of personal brand which bought
forward strengths, weakness in order to enter the accounting profession has been elaborated.
