Wiseway Logistics is a fast growing freight forwarding company with our head office
located in Sydney and other offices in major capital cities in Australia.
The opportunity now arises for an Accounts Officer to join our accounts team in Sydney.
We are looking for someone who is hard-working and has demonstrated an ability to
work well under pressure.
Roles & Responsibilities
 Running daily accounts invoices for our exports team and other departments
 Running weekly statements
 Monitoring client account details for non-payments, delayed payments and other
irregularities
 Following up on and collecting payments
 Credit control
 Assisting the managers and other staff with general duties
 Investigating and resolving customer queries
Personal requirements:
 Good communication and interpersonal skills
 Good organisational skills
 Proficient computer usage especially in MS Excel and Outlook
 Ability to work under pressure
 MUST have a Bachelor degree from Australian Universities
 Own transportation required as office is located far from public transport

Work Experience Role or Internship or Job Opportunity
The current scope prevails in regards to role of an experienced Accounts Officer with Chinese
speaking skills. The opportunity is present with Wiseway Logistics. It is a full time job
opportunity prevailing in Sydney area. The role is a full time job opportunity where Accounts
Officer will need to conduct various accounting activities including credit control. It will include
managing works of the branch and also assisting manager and staffs in general duties. The
remuneration package from this job is highly attractive and later had scopes for increment.
However, I will apply for this job but there will be tremendous competition as various
individuals will be applying for this job role. I have relatively low experience in the domain and
only academic knowledge but one positive aspect is that I hold an Australian University bachelor
degree. Hence, I am doubtful whether I will get through the job role. This job opportunity will be
highly attractive and if I am able to get through it then it will be a great career break for me.

After finishing off with my course, I aim to become an Accounts Officer in a well accredited
company in Sydney area. This particular job opportunity will help me in my career path and
achieve my goals in my desired career path. Later in life I aim to undertake further role match to
extend the line of profession to become a leading professional in the accounting domain.

Selecting this professional path will help me in my future goals as there are tremendous
opportunities that exists. I will undertake a short term course for learning Chinese language as I
currently do not know the language fluently. Accounts has immense opportunities in this field as
every company is expanding hence there are various accounts related compliance issues that they
need to adhere to. If I pursue this field I will have limitless opportunities in the future. Career
path and goals in this domain can easily be extended in the future with inclusion of professional
courses and professional training. There are multiple training opportunities that exists in this
domain as individuals needs to regularly update themselves and include more technical expertise.
Through development and extension of skills, knowledge and expertise I will have more
companies in which I can apply for better salary and career related prospects. I need to develop
my social circle and also senior colleagues who can provide extensive opportunities for the
future. Senior colleagues and friends along with social circle can provide me with useful links
that I can use in my career path.
Current trends and changes in recruitment and employability
I have very high aims to be achieved in my desired path to establish myself as a leading
professional in accounts. Current trends in accounts related recruitment and employability reflect
certification in CFA is a critical degree for success. Current Accountants needs to be well versed
in AACB regulations and accounting packages which needs to be applied in the domain. As a
accounts personnel while undertaking various accounts endeavors distribution of funds needs to
be undertaken. Recruitment hence takes with varied techniques that can tests capabilities of an
individual in accounts handling package techniques. Employability in current industry with
prevailing trends reflects high existing levels of competition amongst various individuals who

are extending their skills and capabilities. Within this industrial framework individuals need to
develop their own linkedin profiles and then apply for various jobs highlighting and endorsing
their skills. We could also search for multiple jobs across job portals to match individual skills
with those of the existing jobs. Employment scopes are also increasing in this industrial domain
with multiple companies realising the necessities of a capable accounts individual. An accounts
individual is expected to conduct themselves within the company in a more professional manner.
Impact technology have on interview process and interview methods
Earlier interviews used to be conducted by personal modes and methods which have transformed
in certain ways in the current scenario. In current days interviews are often organised through
Skype and Webinars such that individual can appear for their interview from any place. This
Skype interview and Webinar are organised by human resource department with the individual
candidate. Technologies have rapidly created a new methodology in the entire recruitment to
selection processes. Interview methods have also been transformed which are face to face across
webinars and sends forms or tests across mails, which needs to be filled up and sent across.
