I. Software development for Blind or visually impaired clients:
In order to develop a software or application for the blind or visually impaired
clients, I must consider the aspects which are mentioned below:
 As most of the blind population uses the JAWS in order to readout the
websites thus, it is essential to reduce the number of links present per page as
it will be reduce the complexity for the user.
 On the page the key words must be mentioned.
 Utilization of anchor headings and text.
 Alt-text must be empty.
II. Software development for Clients who are colour blind:
In order to develop software for the colour blind clients the following aspects
must be considered:
 Utilization of the text as well as the symbols in order to help the users to
identify the functionalities of that key.
 The usage of colours should be less.
 It must have effective colour contrasting.
 The combinations of the colours must be selected for the page by considering
the fact that the colours should not harm the clients who are colour blind.

Discuss 3 ways in which you, can use ICT to reduce your carbon footprint, and
contribute to Green ICT:
 Switch off the system after using it – since if a system is in the turn on mode for more
than 5hrs not no such activities it consumes more than 58khw per week which is a
large amount if it can be considered monthly. Thus, in order to promote the Green
ICT we must turn off the systems after use.
 Adopting of the electricity consumption monitor in the system can help to reduce the
carbon footprint.
 In order to take a step towards the green ICT, the user must configure the power
savings mode into their system.

Which of the following are projects, and which are processes? Explain your
answer.
 Building a computer, on a production line of identical computers.
A project stands for developing new technologies of system or structure in
order to improve or enhance the current situation. Thus, it can be stated that the above
statement is about a project, as it stands for implementing a new system.
 Building a house, as one of a series of identical houses all over Australia.
Along with the above scenario, this statement is also refers to represent about
a project as it is also an approach to develop something new.

As there is a little difference between the process and project where project
stands for developing new services or technologies and process stands for doing any
regular task once or repeatedly. Thus, it can be stated that the mentioned statement is
representing a process, as in this case scenario there is no implementation or
development present.
 Upgrading all 120 computers from Windows 7 to Windows 10.
Similar to the above statement this is also a process as upgrading a single of
multiple computers into new version is not a project but developing a new version is a
project. Thus, it can be concluded that the mentioned scenario is representing a
process.
