Part B
Suggest an IT related case, from your experience or from the news, which you consider

“Moral but not ethical.” In less than one page, justify why it is moral but not ethical.

Information Access

In my personal experience I have observed a working condition in which in order to complete an

order, I was required to procure some details and information from my colleague. The order was

urgent and required to furnish all the necessary details and information. As my colleague was

absent and in his absence, I was left with no option to further proceed with the order. I was under

serious pressure to
complete the order to procure the sales. In order to complete the order and
proceed with my duties, I accessed the details of my order from my colleague’s system. As per

my business practice and guidelines, any action undertaken in order to provide with the required

business services is permitted. While procuring the business requirements I observed my

colleague's activities trading with our clients outside of the business practices and services.

This particular incident accounted for activities that were moral but not ethical. I used my

colleague's system in order to fulfil my duties and services but through unethical
means. Further,
I observed my colleague's personal information and his unethical practices of trading outside the

business circles. I was under the dilemma to warn my colleague regarding his unethical practices

and admit for surpassing his personal boundaries and activities.
