INTRODUCTION
Overview of research
Each and every individual is different from each other and on the basis of which their
perception is being affected. In this changing period of time, it is crucial to focus on different
types of health activities so that it is easy to remain health within society. The human thinking is
different and works on the basis of several factors. Main aim of this report is to understand the
concept of mental and social well being. Most of the research have shown that it is necessary to
be well aware about these different kinds of societies and communities so that effective
decisions are being undertaken. In this flexible of market and due to ongoing pandemic situation
of COVID 19, it is critically crucial to access these different situations so that knowledge of
becoming how to be well being is increased. This report is based on research title- promoting
physical & mental health and emotional well being. This research report comprises of role of
research in defining research questions, review of own skills, research methods, ethical
considerations, piece of action research in health and well-being, interpret data analysis,
potential impacts of findings from study and reflection on journey. Research also determines
about the data of how physical & mental health impact on being social well being (Hill, 2017).
Reason for choosing the Research
The research is based on promoting of physical and mental of becoming social well
being. The scope of this research is wider and is beneficial in improving the knowledge of
individual towards their health. Main reason for section of this research is that it helps in
analysing changing factors of health and how they affecting individual, minds.
Research Aim:
“To improve and analyse the individual skills to be able to carry out independent piece of
action research for service improvement and health sectors”.
Research Objectives:
 To analyse concept of physical and mental health in individual context.
 To address factors of emotional well being To examine impact of health on individual thinking.

Research Question:
 Discuss the concept of mental, physical, emotional well being.
 Why it is essential for individual to remain healthy?
 How health of a individual can be improved in this ongoing pandemic situation?
Literature Review
To analyse concept of physical and mental health in individual context
Literature review is to be defined as briefing about the concept of research, issue, area
or theory of research that reflects about summary of detailed research. According to the view
point of Swami every physical as well as mental health is important for every individual. The
research focusing on promoting of these health in order to become a well being. This has been
critically analysed that research methods, questions, aims and objectives have been discussed.
Also, primary sources have been used for interpretation of data. Concept of mental health and
physical health is being briefly explained (Swami, 2018).
To address factors of emotional well being
According to viewpoint of Carpentieri emotional well being is defined as sense of well
being which enables individual or a person to function or behave in community to meet demands
of everyday life. Human behaviour is flexible and it is necessary to focus on development of
needs or expectation of every person so that it is easy to be known about what factors affects the
emotional well being.
To examine impact of health on individual thinking.
Under view point of Lobel health is most important part of individual life. There are
various types of factors that impact on health of an individual such as changing environment
conditions, person thinking, heredity, health care, decisions etc. With consideration of such
factors, health is affected of a person (Lobel, 2017).
TASK 1
P1 Examine role of research in defining research question for piece of action research in health
and social care
A research is defined as process of examining and analysing about the concept of
particular topic or area. In this presented research, it depicts regarding promoting of promoting,
mental health and emotional well being. In health and social care enterprise, it has been seen

that whenever a patient is being admitted different kinds of resources, medicines are used by
firm to treat patients in proper manner. This results in analysing of appropriate type of factors
that impact on health and social care of a individual.
This is too examined that action research has been executed on the basis of which it is
easy to access to analyse problems and issues, collection of credentials and data and
implementation of actual planning. Research questions have been framed on basis of which
further research is carried out in proper manner. Through focusing on these research concepts,
objective of research is achieved easily (Carpentieri, 2017).
P2 Review own skills in conducting of piece of action research into health and well being
improvement
In this reflected research, it is crucial for person to review and use their own skills to
complete research on time period. In piece of action research into health and well being, skills
and knowledge of related field is necessary. Researcher uses different types of sources in order to
gather data for research such as books, journals, websites etc. Main aim of action is to examine
or analyse the change or issue which lies in the research topic. With adaption of action research,
researcher is able to access to final result in easier way. So, various kinds of skills are listed
below-
 Time management- It is an important which skill which is needed in research at first
most point. Time management refers to managing of all the work and task with proper
consideration of time. I have analysed that I have ability to manage time according to
which I decide my work execution in proper manner.
 Communication skill- It is another skills which is essential in this research. Through
use of this skill it is easy to bring out the reason for choosing of the research and
necessary credentials are transferred. After reviewing, I have examined that I have a
effective communication skills which is used by me in proper manner (Moazzami, 2020).

Skills as well as knowledge is needed at priority level when it comes to conducting of a
research. With proper use of different kinds of skills such as time management and
communication it is easy to conduct and execute research on time. In health and social care,
these are skills are needed at every aspect.

D1 Examine how research methodologies selected proposed action research study in health &
well being improvement.
It is analysed that research methods are required to be used in proper manner so that
data and information is collected in proper way. It rely on researcher to use most appropriate
research methods in effective manner. With adoption of research methods, it is easy to access
relevant information (White, 2017).
TASK 2
P3 Analyse appropriate research methods for investigating research questions
This is analysed that it is necessary to be aware about the different types of methods so
that so that research information are used and accessed in appropriate way. Every researcher
uses different types of methods on the basis of which they are able to reach to conclusion in
appropriate way. So, it is further discussed below-
 Research approach- This is defined as as tactic or approach which is used by research
in order to carry out the research in effective manner. Two kinds of approaches are
presented which are inductive and deductive. The most suitable approach is qualitative
approach in which information is gathered as it help in achieving results.
 Research design- Research design depicts about the way research is presented. It is
essential to gather data according to research design. In this conducted research,
descriptive research design is adopted.
 Research strategy- It is strategy in which it depicts about strategy or tactic which is
used by researcher to complete the research. So, in this two methods are used which are
quantitative and qualitative methods. In this research, qualitative research is used.
 Data collection method- It is often seen that data collection method is also to be
viewed as most appropriate to be used. Basically there are two data collection methods
that are used which are primary and secondary. In secondary method, information is
collected by sources like newspapers, websites, journals are used. In primary methods,
researcher uses questionnaire (Cooper, 2017).
Data sampling- Sampling refers to process of selecting individual members from a large
population. Data sampling is essential in research as it helps in collection of information/ data
appropriately. Within this reflected research, questionnaire is developed with aim of collection of

data. By use of questionnaire, it is easy to it is easy to collect new information for research and
data.
So, above explained paragraph shows that appropriate kinds of knowledge and focus is
needed to be maintained so that all factors are properly concerned. This is critically important
for researcher to ensure that correct type of research methods are used so that questions are
answered in efficient manner (Borchert, 2018).
P4 Ethical consideration while collecting information from respondents
In research, various type so activities take place and it is essential to focus on carrying
out of such type of activities in proper manner. It is duty of researcher to make assure that
research is being conducted with proper ethical considerations. This is because wide range of
information and data is collected and it is crucial to kept the privacy of credential in correct way.
With proper focus on ethical consideration, it is easier to make decisions about how to conduct a
research in ethical way.
In presented research 40 respondents have been taken into considerations and on basis
of which it is necessary to focus on their respond and according to which interpretation of data
has been done. The research is being conducted on in systematic manner by properly focusing
on aims and objectives, literature review, research actions, review of own skills. Then, also
different kinds of research dimensions have been discussed like data sampling, data collection
methods, research design. Further, it is critically analysed that ethical considerations are
necessary to be adopted on basis of which it is easier to reach to positive conclusion (Choi,
2017).
M2 States methodological research approach
In research, it is seen that methodological approaches are crucial to be used so that it is
easy to access to conclusion of research in appropriate manner. Research methods are important
and needed to be used in such a way that results are accomplished in correct manner. It is seen
that there need to be positive and effective relations between respondents and researcher so that
it is convenient to execute all the elements of research in appropriate way.

P5 Implementing a piece of action research in health and well-being improvement
Action research is the one which is able to help in relation to get the right action and
leads to the better health and social care. In this, there are about different questions which are
there able provide the idea that can help in evaluating the health and social care problem and
related solution. This is the one which is able to provide the better knowledge and idea about
the research of health regarding health and social care. This leads and helps to learn the
action that can help individual for personal and professional development. Questionnaire is
the one which is able to help the researcher in better and efficient data that can lead to get
better analysis along with recognition in relation to implement personal care in relation to

high information about it (Yu, and et. al., 2018).
