Adapting new technology which includes E-commerce and Social Media platforms can
be defined as the using of the technical devices which consist networks, internet, computing
devices and many more as per the needs and requirements of an organization. Technology
adoption is important but it is equally important to keep safety and security measures of
technology by the businesses. This is because businesses keeps big data with themselves which
are required to be protected from getting breached or loss as this can result in the big damage to
the organization because such data are generally private and confidential. Moreover, technology
is mostly used in electronic commerce and the digital marketing which contains social media
marketing and platforms as well, these are needed to be managed by the companies so that
promotion strategies can be planned and implemented in a tactical manner (Studen and Tiberius,
2020). All such business issues are related to the technology in E-commerce and social media
platforms therefore, the following discussion is based on the business issue related in the
adoption of the technology and the ways companies are reacting to such technical issues in their
businesses along with the proper solutions and recommendations to the issues and an appropriate
findings and conclusion.

Adopting new tech just because it’s new is one of the business issue related to the
adoption of new technology which includes E-commerce and social media platforms which
means that it is the nature of the business to adopt any technology which they find new instead of
analysing its relevance and reliability to the business. Not implementing the right systems and
procedures is an another business issue related to the adoption of new technology which includes
E-commerce and social media platforms which means that there is lack of expertise in companies
which can provide the knowledge of correct systems implementation that results in incorrect
working of the procedures in the companies (Lin, Wang and Hajli, 2019). Failing to win staff
over to the new technology is also one of the business issue related to the adoption of new
technology which includes E-commerce and social media platforms which means that after
adoption of new technology, companies are lacking in giving proper training to staff which
creates the issues in the functioning because staff is not having knowledge about it then it can be

difficult for them to work on it. Not monitoring the data is also an another business issue related
to the adoption of new technology which includes E-commerce and social media platforms
which means that online systems needs proper data management where companies lack due to
the insufficient systems of data management and their software installation. Privacy and security
issues is one of the business issue related to the adoption of new technology which includes E-
commerce and social media platforms which means that the companies can negatively affect due
to the personal privacy, access right, harmful actions, patents, copyright, trade secrets, liability
and piracy (Olsson and Bernhard, 2020). Cybercrimes is an another business issue related to the
adoption of new technology which includes E-commerce and social media platforms which
means that the companies has also negatively affected due to the phishing scams and website
spoofing along with the ransomware and malware which is followed by the internet of things
hacking and many more.
How the companies are reacting – positively or negatively?
Companies are reacting in both the ways such as positively and negatively which all
depends on the situation or circumstances arising in an organization in the information
technology sector. Talking about positive reactions includes the creativity and innovation which
is one of the positive reaction of companies which means that companies treat such issues in
such a way so that they innovate something new and creatively implement that in order to fight
against such issues in order to save the business which is good for the future considerations as
well. Opportunistic expansion is an another positive reaction of companies which means that
companies finds opportunity in the issues so that they can resolve and grabs the opportunity
associated with it because it is said that issues brings opportunities with it and one should
recognise to execute. Cognitive intelligence is also one of the positive reaction of companies
which means that such issues solving procedure in the companies helps the staff to make their
mind calculative and problem solving so that decision making process can be done appropriately
which improves the intelligence system of the workforce which assist in personal as well as
processional growth and development of an individual (Chong, Lacka, Boying and Chan, 2018).
Talking about negative reactions includes the unbearable loss which is one of the negative
reaction of companies which means that the loss happened due to the issues considered as the
unbearable which means companies don't try to resolve and just declare a great loss for the
organization. Mismanagement is an another negative reaction of companies which means that

generally companies panic because of the issues raised instead of solving and thereby it results in
the mismanagement and lack in operations and functioning in an organization. Shutting the
implementation of new technology is also one of the negative reaction of companies which
means that companies stops using such technologies which creates issues even if the
technologies are relevant for the organizational working instead of rectifying the issues generated
due to the implementation and tightens their security measures (Kim and Kim, 2018).
Recommendations
It is important to rectify such issues by providing the solutions and recommendations to
the organizations so that they can better execute the same for enhanced growth and development
of the companies. Adopting those technology only which are useful for the organization is one
of the solution and recommendation to the issues which means that it is important for the
organization to analyse and identify the most suitable technology which are required to get
implemented in the company and which can prove relevant so that reduction of generation of
issues can be done in an accurate manner. Proper training and development session to the staff
is an another solution and recommendation to the issues which means that after implementation
of the new technology it is essential to educate the employees and provide proper knowledge
about working of it so that they can utilise such technology in a maximum way without any
errors which gives effectiveness and efficiency in working. Data management is also one of the
solution and recommendation to the issues which means that data is a necessary asset for every
organization and it is needed to be managed so that better examination could be done out of it
and helps in fighting against the issues facing by the business (Cheng, Su and Zarifis, 2019).
Tight security and updates frequently is also an another solution and recommendation to the
issues which means that it is significant for companies to update the systems on a frequent basis
so that they can work properly without any security issues and must install such software which
provides security to the systems and alert on dangerous signal from websites and many more.
Password management and access control is one of the solution and recommendation to the
issues which means that data are required to be secured and hence strong password must be kept
which is unbreakable along with the access control methodology which includes the
authorization and authentication of data containing encryption and decryption which means
encoding and decoding. Treating any issue in a positive manner rather than negative manner
is an another solution and recommendation to the issues which means that company must prepare

their team to take the situation in a positive manner so that they can grab the opportunities which
arises from it and aids the business and people with better solutions (Harding, Kadiyono, Hafiar
and Siswadi, 2020).

It is concluded that adopting technology in E-commerce and social media platforms is an
important concept to learn and understand so that its applications and issues can be applied in a
real world organizations. It is researched that now a days, it is impossible for businesses to
survive and perform their management and operations in a quick and accurate manner without
adopting the new and advanced along with the updated technology implementations in their
functioning. Hence, if organizations adopt such technology then they will definitely face some
issues regarding the execution of it and therefore it is vital and imperative to study about it along
with their solutions and outcomes. Thereby, it is important to analyse and investigate about the
business issues related to the technology which includes E-commerce and social media platforms
and it is essential to examine and assess the reaction of the companies while facing such issues
either positive or negative along with the necessity and significance to provide the relevant and
