The Pete Peeves often cause a huge problem for the other individuals living in the
society. This is because the Pete peeves refers to certain habits or certain things that are very
annoying in nature. They cause a huge amount of problem for the other people living in the
society. Slow construction workers refer to another such Pete Peeve as it makes the lives of
many other people tough. Slow construction workers often delay the work that is going on at
many construction sites. This hampers not only the whole production of the overall construction
company but also creates many harmful accidental sites.
The concern regarding this point is the annoyance that can be created due to the slow
pace in the work going on at the construction sites. The management of that company has to take
proper decision, so that the slow workers can be trained properly and they can actually overcome
the issues that they are facing. However Jebelli (2016) has suggested that when the construction
company fails there are usually a large number of reasons that are associated with it. The slow
construction works can make some severe mistakes in the ongoing construction of some
buildings or some roads as well. The half done buildings or the half done roads usually pose a
major threat to the lives of the people who are passing by. Apart from this the people who are
driving cars on the roads are the ones that might suffer from a huge accident if the construction
workers are working in a very slow and unproductive manner. As per my perception it is a matter
of great concern because in the current scenario the construction works are taking place at a very
rapid rate. Thus the construction companies usually hire a large number of workers in their sites.
Thus there are often some kinds of skill gaps existing in the knowledge of the workers. They are
not able to overcome these skill gaps.
Swider (2015) has also stated that if the construction companies are growing at a very
rapid rate , it often becomes very difficult for the industries to take proper care of each of their

construction workers. They might be concerned about the other aspects like acquiring more
number of companies and hiring more employees. In the course of this, they might not be able to
see if their workers are becoming very slow at their work. This often makes the employees or the
construction workers suffer from lethargy or monotony. Thus they become slower in their work.
Often they might leave the work half done without knowing the extent of threat that might be
caused due to the irresponsible work.
Thus there are several measures that must be undertaken in order to solve the issue of
slow construction workers. The managers must make sure to talk with the employees and try to
know if they are facing some severe issues in their workplaces. Apart from thus they must
develop a proper horizontal or open ended communication systems o that they can get to know
about the actual issues being faced. This will help the construction workers to understands about
their issues and also reach out to their managers very easily. The managers will be able to
provide the right kinds of training that are needed for the purpose of overcoming the skill gaps.
Experts must be hired from outside so that they can understand the actual issues that are present
with the construction workers. They will also be able to suggest some good and useful methods
for the purpose of solving the slow work rate of the construction workers.
Campaigns and workshops must be conducted so that slow construction workers can be
taught about the methods that they must follow to work over their faults. The workers must be
given some good rewards to ensure that they are always being motivated so that they can develop
themselves and speed up the rate of their work. The competent project managers must be hired
who will be helping in understanding the gaps or the errors that are existing in the knowledge of
the construction workers. Thus they slow construction workers have to be trained in a proper
way so that they can understand the different measures that must be undertaken at the
