INTRODUCTION
The business environment has been facing several trends and changes in recent time which
lead to significant improvement at a huge level. One of the key trends which have
influenced the business environment at a huge level is globalization. The term globalization
refers to the business expansion at a wide level which assists in carrying the business
operation across the boundaries for attaining substantial development. In recent time, there
are large numbers of organizations who have been utilizing the benefit of globalization in
the business. Moreover, the implications of globalization have been positive and negative
for the organization. A study has been conducted in order to gain significant knowledge and
information on the globalization and their influence on the business functioning. The impact
of globalization has been assessed in the business operations of Adidas so that effective
understanding could be attained.
TITLE – ASSESSING THE GROWTH IN THE BUSINESS OPERATIONS OF ADIDAS DUE TO
GLOBALIZATION
AIM
The aim of the research study is to assess the growth in the business operations of Adidas
due to globalization.
OBJECTIVES
The research study is comprised of certain objectives whose accomplishment would help in
meeting the aim of the study. The research objectives have been presented below:
 Assess the benefits of globalization in the business operation of Adidas
 Assess the market growth of Adidas due to globalization
 Assess the improvement which has been attained by Addis in their business
operations due to globalization

There are certain research questions which have been developed by considering the aim
and objectives of the study. It would help in understanding the required areas effectively.
The research questions are:
 What the key benefits of globalization in the business operations of Adidas?
 Did the implications of globalization are positive in the business operations of
Adidas?
 At what level the business operations of Adidas has been improved by the
application of globalization.
RATIONALE
The trend of globalization has become popular among the organizations and they have been
utilizing it effectively. In addition to this, there are different implications of globalization on
the business operations of the organization which could be positive or negative in nature.
Moreover, it could be assessed that the trend of globalization has improvised the business
functioning of the organization at a significant level such that ample opportunities have
been available for the organization.
The importance of globalization has been significant in the current business environment.
The study of globalization possesses significant importance as it would be helpful in
attaining significant understanding and knowledge of its implications in the business
environment. The organizations such as Adidas have been growing their business operations
at a substantial level due to globalization. In addition to this, there are different areas in the
business environment where the implications of globalization could be perceived. The major
area of globalization is healthy business functioning and operations of the organization
across the border. The effective understanding regarding the globalization would help in

paved an opportunity for the organization in attaining substantial benefit in the business.
The major benefit of globalization in the business functioning of the organization is that it
has developed international access to the organization. The world has been referred to as a
global village under globalization. The restrictions on the organization for reaching the
customers have been diminished due to the impact of globalization.
In addition to this, the globalization has been helpful in having a lower cost of the customer
service. The globalization has effectively assisted the organizations in conducting the
business operations across the borders through the help of an effective customer service
department which handles the issues of the customers. The outsourcing of the work has
been helpful for the organization in carrying its operations in an effective manner (Vivarelli,
2018). Moreover, the competition level in the business has been increased which possess a
significant impact on the growth opportunities of the organization. It could be stated that
the potential of globalization in the business environment has been huge as various benefits
are available for the organization.

approach of the organization. In recent time, the integration of the economy has been

level. It is vital for the organization that they adequately consider the business opportunities

METHODOLOGY
It has been evident that the role of research methodology has been vital in conducting the
research study in an effective manner. The application of the research methodology has
been significant in the study as it helps in attaining required information and knowledge
regarding the research (Kapur, 2018). The research methodology helps in attaining the data
for the research which helps in meeting the aim and objectives of the study. The research
requires primary and secondary data so that the research aim and objectives could be
accomplished effectively. There are two research approaches under the research
methodology which are helpful in attaining the primary and secondary data. The primary
data is collected with help of quantitative research methodology where the real-time data is
collected. Further, the secondary data is collected with help of qualitative research
methodology.
The qualitative research methodology is carried out in the research study at the initial level
with help of literature review so that significant knowledge regarding the research area
could be attained. The literature review of similar research studies is conducted which help
in attaining the secondary data (Flick, 2018). Further, the quantitative research methodology
would be applied so that the primary data could be collected. The major techniques for
collecting the primary data are interview and questionnaire. In this research study, the
major technique which has been applied for collecting the primary data is a questionnaire.
DATA COLLECTION PROCESS
The data collection process in the research study would be conducted with help of primary
and secondary data. The data would be collected with help of suitable research
methodology. Initially, the secondary data in the research study would be conducted with
help of quantitative research methodology. The application of qualitative research
methodology would help in gaining significant understanding regarding the research area
where similar research studies would be assessed. The assessment of the similar studies
would be carried with help of literature review.

After the collection of secondary data, the primary data would be collected with help of
quantitative research methodology. The application of quantitative research methodology in
the research study would be carried with help of questionnaire. The questionnaire would be
used in the survey where certain respondents would be participating whose response would
help in acquiring the primary data. The respondents who would be participating in the
survey are the employees of Adidas. The employees would be provided with the
questionnaire which comprised of ten questions regarding the research area. Further, their
responses would be recorded in order to collect the primary data (Bell et al., 2018). Further,
the collected data would be assessed critically in order to evaluate the research outcomes in
an effective manner.
The charts and graphs would be utilized in the research study in order to demonstrate the
understanding of the data effectively. The demonstration of the charts and graphs would
help in reflecting the knowledge regarding the research. The effective demonstration would
assist in meeting the aim and objectives of the study.
ETHICAL CONSIDERATIONS
There are certain areas which are essential for the researcher to consider for carrying the
research study in an ethical manner. Initially, it has been important for the researcher that
the personal information and responses of the respondents should not be shared with
anybody. In addition to this, it should be ensured by the researcher that the data of the
research should be attained in an ethical manner.

TIMELINE
There are various activities which would be conducted in the research study. It has been
proposed that the research activities of the study would take around 20 weeks for their
completion. The major activities which would be incurring huge time in the research study
are the data collection process and data analysis. Initially, the research scheduling would be
conducted in order to schedule the research activities in an effective manner. The research
aim and objectives would be developed in a similar week regarding the research. Further,
the research methodology would be designed that would be applied in the research study.
Also, the data collection process for the research study would be carried with help of
qualitative and quantitative research approach. The collected data would be analyzed and
evaluated in order to present the research outcomes.
