INTRODUCTION
Globalisation is a process in which business is being diversified at the global stage. It is a
free movement of goods and services across the world in a seamless and integrated manner
(Hirst, Thompson and Bromley, 2015). The research report is based on Adidas. It is based in
Herzogenaurach, that designs and manufactures shoes, clothing and accessories. .This report
highlights the aim and objectives of the project. Further this report highlights project
management plan, Gantt chart and Work breakdown structure. This report highlights the small
research by implementing qualitative and quantitative research approaches. Further this report
shows data collection using appropriate tools and technique with the recommendation on the
basis of data collection. Lastly the report highlights values of undertaking research.

P1. Project aim and objective
Project definition
Demand for summer shoes has seen a very good rise the last few years because of the
awareness of the product is successfully promoted in the global market. It is a product which is
not easily available in the market. In order to manufacture summer shoes women should be
considered while manufacturing as women used to drive 70-80% of the purchasing in market
which will be beneficial for the company to focus on production of women summer shoes. A
product with a multiple usage which can be used in multiple occasions like office, party days,
walking and sports. This is because a consumer looks for a product with multiple usage and
preference is being given to a product like summer shoes (Kumar, 2019).
Problem statement
It is being observed that consumers don't change there brand so easily, it is difficult for them for
changing their brand preference which may impact the performance of the product in market for
which the company have to give the best marketing strategy to promote the awareness of the
product to consumers.

Use of primary and secondary data is helpful in getting in-depth information about topic
and obtaining best results.

Project management plan is the planning process which ensure that overall aim can be
achieved. It ensures involves correct activities, managing risk and resources so that entire
project can get completed on time. It will complete in eight weeks and scholar will monitor
the progress of project continuously (Ong, Wang and Zainon, 2016).

operations. it includes initiation, plan, execution, monitoring and controlling. Proper planning
helps in the successful management of all the operational performed in the organisation. it is
necessary for every project manager to incorporate cost, scope, time, quality, communication,
resource for the planning of the project (Flick, 2015). It is duty of the project manager to align all
the business activities so that whole operation can be finished on time.

Cost:-cost id the one of the most important aspect that should be consider while managing or
formatting a project. Managers have to take care that cost should be managed. For that managers
have to allocate funds in effective way that should reduce cost and increase efficiency of the
project. for the Adidas cost will be incurred on the manufacturing of the summer shoes. It will
bear a huge cost in manufacturing of the summer shoe (Bresler and Stake, 2017).

Scope:-this project have high scope in future because demand of summer shoe is going to
increase. Scope is the positive aspects of a project that should help to development of the product
in the market. The quality of product also increase the demand of the shoes. After launching of
the product it will increase its sale of the product and revenue of the product. Firm have scope of
the lunch new product summer shoes with the new and attractive looks (Fletcher, 2017). This
project has huge scope, as company will be able to design and manufacture satisfactory shoes
which may attract more consumers towards the firm. This will help in raising profit of the firm to
great extent. Apart from this, other researchers will get brief idea about this topic and they will
be able to conduct such kind of studies on same topic in the future again.
Money, email address, laptop, paper are included in included scope. Whereas supervisors,
cleaners, team leaders are included in excluded scope.
Time:- managers have to take time for the project. Mangers have to divide the task in sub task
for the effective and efficient utilization of the resources. Task division help to perform work of
time and in budget. And for the manufacturing of product it will take 12 weeks to be completed
all the sub task.
Quality:- it is an important part of the project, without good quality product will not survive in
the competition. Researcher should ensure that product is qualitative and its is accordingly to the
plan and mark (Flick, 2015). For the betterment of the quality Adidas can use new technology
and help of the researcher for the improvement of quality of the products

Communication:- There must be a proper communication between the team members and project
manager and also with the quality team. It reduces the chances of the errors and create better
coordination among which help to finish task on time. If the researcher and manager of Adidas

employer to get work done in the small parts. The WBS is helps to complete Complex task in the

A Gantt chart is a graphical presentation of the project schedule. It is says clearly the start date of
the project and the completion date of a project. And it also shows the which work will be done
on what date. This is very useful in planning of the project and defining the sequence of a task
that which part of work is done after the what task. This chart is used to managing all size and
types of the projects (Ong, Wang and Zainon, 2016). This cart is using for the completion of all
types of the work that are to be done in the organisation. Gantt chart is useful for the project
which have a schedule of performing work. In the shoe making the Gantt chart is divided task in

P4 & M3. Research methods
Research methodology is a systematic plan used for conducting research. It is a tool that
helps an organisation in conducting the operations in a smoother manner. There are various
techniques which can be used in carrying out the investigation in a proper manner. It is being
essential for the researcher to evaluate the type of study and accordingly an individual needs to
implement methods to complete project (Bresler and Stake, 2017). The research was conducted
in systematic manner, primary source of data collection that is questionnaire was used to gather
information about research topic. In order to conduct present study scholar has taken assistance
of qualitative research style, individual has involved theories and models in order to improve
understanding about topic and getting valid results.
Customers of Adidas are the target population for this investigation. Questionnaire was
administrated by email.
Researcher has prepared themes and have form graphs so show the results. No analytical
technique has been used in this study. 20 customers were involved in this investigation as
sample. Researcher has used both qualitative and quantitative method. As percentage has been
calculated on responses of all answers.
Tools and techniques of research methodology are as following:
Research Philosophy: It refers to the methods and mode used in collecting information by
a researcher is known as research philosophy. There are majorly two classifications of
the philosophies which are used for different research project types are Interpretivism and
positivism. Interpretivism philosophy focuses on all the qualitative aspects and it involves
implementation of theories and models. Whereas positivism refers to method focusing
majorly on hypothesis formulation for the researching of the topic. Interpretivism is a
method which helps in accumulation of facts and figures which are relating to human
tendency and generating actual and real figures and data (Fletcher, 2017). Interpretivism
philosophy is being used for conducting the present research. With the use of this
philosophy, research was being facilitated in collection of qualitative data regarding the

summer shoe collection which helped in gaining the knowledge and requirement of
summer shoe market in different areas.
Research Approach: It is necessary to determine the manner in which the research shall
be conducted. There are basically two ways of conducting research. Inductive approach
and deductive approach. Inductive approach refers to a approach in which involvement of
implementation of models is being used rather than formulation of hypothesis for
conducting the research (Flick, 2015). This is being used where interpretive philosophy is
being done. On the other hand deductive approach is a technique where there is
hypothesis formulated by the researcher. This is usually being applied on those reports
which involves positivism philosophy. Since a researcher is basically assessing facts
rather than figures, the approach is that which is suitable for evaluation of qualitative
data. Hence, the researcher is using inductive approach for the evaluation of data.
Research Design: Descriptive research, Exploratory research and casual research are
three different categories involved in research design from which researches are being
conducted. Descriptive research consist of studies of characteristics of the population
which involves techniques such as observation method, survey and case study analysis
rather than formulation of hypothesis (Gantt, 2015). Descriptive research design is being
used in this report to conduct the study and outline the method in which research is going
to be conducted. This will facilitate the researcher in analysing the comfort level of
summer shoes which are being produced by Adidas for its summer collection and it will
help in determining the impact on the buying behaviour of the customers targeted. This
method is being useful in conducting the research as per the required aims and objectives
which are being formulated.
Sampling: The process in which selection of samples which are relevant for conducting
the study out of the whole population is known as sampling. It must be selected in a
precise manner for analysing correct conclusion and findings. For the present study,
random sampling method is being used by the researcher. This method involves
collection of samples randomly for the research and it doesn't have any criteria for the
collection of samples which results in removal of bias selection of samples. In the present
report there are 20 samples that are being collected (Kumar, 2019).

Data Collection: The major part of conducting research is collection of those facts and
figures that is the information which is relevant for carrying out of the research and
formulate relevant conclusions and findings. The data collected by a researcher should be
both relevant and meaningful. There are two sources for collection of that i.e. primary
and secondary method of data collection. Primary data consist of all the relevant data
which is being generated by researcher himself by interaction with the sample consumers
selected by the researcher (Mackey and Gass, 2015). For collection of data interview,
questionnaire, etc are the methods which are being used. Secondary method of data
collection involves study of data which is already being researched before which is
relevant to the study. It involves the study of data which is already analysed which
consists study of books, journals and websites which are relevant to research. In the
present research both the methods of data collection are being used for conducting the
research.
Data Analysis: After all the relevant data is being collected by conducting the research, a
systematic study is being conducted for analysing the data which is being collected by the
researcher for making the relevant conclusions. In the report, researcher has used
thematic analysisLO3 technique for presenting the information in an effective manner.
Thematic analysis consist of formulation of the different themes for analysing the
information collected by breaking it down into several parts for building up tables and
charts for interpretation which facilitates in forming conclusions and recommendations
(Milanovic, 2016).
Ethical Consideration: It is the crucial element for carrying out the present research so
that the impact can be determined about the need of summer shoes by analysing the
consumer behaviour of the targeted customers. It involves the declaration that the
researcher did not force them to speak on a particular topic or prioritize any one factor
over any other factor. Lastly, declaration that the research is being originally made and it
is not being copied from anywhere else (Steger, 2017).

improve understanding of investigator or effectively. Inductive research approach will make
study simple and individual will be able to get answers without involving any complex
calculations. Use of random sampling is reliable approach because this helps in minimising
biasness hence accurate results can be obtained. Thematic analyses helps in evaluating data
properly and presenting it is effective manner.

If scholar had used deductive then individual would have to involve complex calculations
such as mean, mode, standard deviation which may make this project little complicated. Hence
use of inductive is great option because this would conduct investigation in systematic manner
by using theories. Use of random sampling is great method because it enhances clarity but if
scholar had used non probability sampling methods then it may consume more time to get the
right respondent. Furthermore, if scholar had used SPSS for data analyses then it would be
complicated and time consuming hence use of thematic is better.

From the analysis it can be recommend that the Adidas should be emphasis on the 25-30
years age group because the main costumer base of Adidas is this age group peoples. And
company have to emphasis on the promotion of product to this age group of persons, so that
company increases its sales. It also can be recommended that company can launch some trendy
shoes that can attack the young age persons and it also increases the range of the products of the
company. Adidas also launch summer shoe which can be comfortable for the young age
generation and old age generation to which help to boost the sales. As it knows that Adidas
product are costly and not every can afford its products, to solve this problem firm can some mid
range and low cost footwear's so that every one can afford the Adidas shoes/ above all
recommendation will help to increase sale, profitability and costumer base and loyalty towards
the organisation. Adidas have the strong command over the quality of the products but it need to
improve the trends and designs of the products so that it can attract its costumers.

help in attracting buyers and making them positive towards the brand.

From the above study it can be concluded that Adidas can launch the new product with
the above recommended changes this will help it gets its product in demand, because this will
fulfil the need of all the categories of the consumers. If it launches the product in mid range price
and a comfortable product than consumers will more demand for the same product. This will
help to increase sales and profitability of the firm. It is identified that quality, price are essential
factors that must be considered by company while manufacturing any kind of summer shoes. For
gaining competitive advantage it has to always consider needs of target audience.

P7 Explain value to undertake the research
This report will help Adidas to understand the need of the summer shoe in the market,
this will also help the to get the analysis that at what price range product should be launched and
what will the material of the product. I have communicated with respondents while conducting
questionnaire which has improved by coordination capabilities. It also increase my working
experience on the project. While working on the project I learn the how to do research in the
market. How to collect interviews of the respondents and how to talk to them, how to
convenience them to give interviews. I will have to take support of face to face meeting with all
respondents which will help in knowing more about my body language and I would be able to
improve my this skill. Also for the further development of the skills I will works on the project
so that it increase my skills. I have set priorities of task and it has been scheduled properly. I
learnt how to manage the time according to the time by doing this project. I learn that he divide
the whole task in small parts so that it can be completed in time without any hesitation. I can
closely monitor each activity in order to ensure task is going to complete on time or not. Further
if I will get the chance to do the similar project than I will do it on time and use all the skills I
learnt from this assignment
My confidence have been build up, now I am able to present my self with confidence in
front of my seniors. Earlier to that my presentation capability was very bad because I felt so

Apart from this, I learnt how an effective research can be done and how scholar can get reliable

While carrying out this research project scholar has learnt many things, this has improved
communication and technical skill of researcher. The applied process and planning of
investigator was great and appropriate as individual has completed this project on time. Apart
from this there was no issue of over costing or delay. But in the future researcher should use
deductive approach and has to take assistance of SPSS to evaluate data and finding results. This
might give more authentic outcome to scholar. I learnt about factors that may be considered by
companies while making summer shoes and also I learnt about various research methods that
would be helpful for me in conducting any other research project in the future.
CONCLUSION
From the above study it can be concluded Adidas should launch the new shoes in the market
it will helpful to them for making profit. Companies have to consider price, quality on priority in
order to design and manufacturing the most demanding summer shoes. This would be better for
the firm in gaining competitive advantage and sustaining in market for longer duration. Use of
correct research methodology support in analysing data properly and reach to reliable end results.
Adequate project planning is helpful lin managing project well and completing it on time.
