It is imperative for every business organization to analyze the business environment
so as to ensure effective strategic planning to get the competitive advantage in its respective
industry. The following report is based in the industry analysis of a sports company i.e.
Admiral Sportswear as part of its strategic planning (Brown and Gloyne, 2021). It is a
sportswear brand dealing in the products like sports footwear, apparel, equipment and other
accessories and services. As part of the industry analysis, the report will cover the different
types and purposes of organizations with size and scope of a range of different organizations.
Further, it will also explain the relationship between different organizational functions and
their link to organizational objectives and structure.

Different types and purposes of organizations
To conduct an industry analysis, the Insights’ strategist is required to analyze the
industry through effective market research so as to gain understanding of the competitive
environment of business such as analysis of different types of organizations such as Public,
Private and Voluntary organizations with their purpose in the sports industry that also share
the same market and same customer base with the Admiral Sportswear. The industry analysis
also includes also involves analysis of overall market size i.e. international or national. In
context with the industry analysis of Admiral Sportswear, the industry analysis is as follows -
Admiral Sportswear is the first and foremost sportswear brand founded in 1914. It is
supplying multiple athletes and teams with best and quality products. The organization is
serving worldwide i.e. it is an international organization. But the organization has
competitors on both national as well as international level. The sportswear industry has

Sportswear.
