◦ Introduction Rob’s helpful actions and comments that assist Lauren to modify
Healthcare comprises of maintaining and improving health through diagnosis,
prevention and treatment of diseases. Under this report a poster has been prepared
which is related with working with adolescents. This poster contains information
received in the workshop which involves a case study which is based on 16-year-old
girl Lauren and her practitioner.
Rob is the general practitioner who is attending Lauren case. He has suggested that Lauren
should engage in more physical exercise and reduce the level of alcohol consumption. He has
also suggested that she should engage in more social activities such as meeting more friends.
He believes that my bringing changes in Lauren behaviour can be a key to solve her
problems. Along with it he organised a video session with Lauren's family so that her
problems can be discussed in a better way and her family can understand the problems that
Lauren is dealing with can can assist her in overcoming such issues. He also gave her
pamphlets so that she can follow her asthma medication regularly and can understand the
importance of exercising in daily life but Lauren did not follow the same by making accuse
that she was unable to manage her school and other stuff. Rob is constantly drawing Lauren
attention to adopt healthy lifestyle and add exercising in her daily routine so that her issue can
be resolved and he is advising her to meet more number of people and be more socially active
so that her behaviour can be modified. He also suggested that a support group can be a nice
place to socialise and overcome the issues as they tent to help people and this will also help
Lauren to keep distance from people who are bad influence for her.
◦ Identification of Lauren's Problematic behaviour
Lauren meet with an accident while coming back from a party which caused her
injury and after the accident Lauren gained weight and started to hate her looks as she
thinks that she is not presentable because of this she lost contact with her old friends
and started to hang around a small group of new friends. The new group of friend
were involved in drinking and Lauren started to enjoy their company and also enjoyed
partying with them which involved drinking alcohol. It has impacted on her daily
activities as she started hanging around at one of her friend’s house on most of the
Friday and Saturday night and they spend the entire night drinking and drinking at this
age can be a health issue. Which results in morning hangover on most of the Saturday
and Sunday morning because of which she is getting trouble getting out of bed and
perform her job duties at local bakery Which have resulted in getting warning at her
job place. Due to such lifestyle she is not able to concentrate on her work and also
have created a distance with her old group. It has made her less social and made her
hang out with small number of friends which impacted her behaviour towads her
family. It has also implicated her while adhering to her asthma management regime
which is putting negative impact on her health. As she is spending her most of time
being with her friends and drinking she is not able to concentrate on both work and
school. Due to her drinking problems she is facing certain other issues such as she is
not able to be mentally active in her school and her grades are getting effected by the
same

her step father was not great which resulted in Lauren getting frustrated at different level in
the video session and it have fuelled her with more rudeness in the session. As Lauren use to
